'It was our first trip to Boothbay and we couldn't have been more pleased!!! The Shipbuilder's retreat was well appointed in every way! Wide open, well cared for, and comfortable. We enjoyed coffee on the deck and playing games in the evening. It was a convenient trip to the local grocery store, and was very near to all the beauty and joys of the Harbor, light house's, LL Bean (an hour), and hiking. We LOVE it! 'Great location, very clean and had all the essentials. Only drawback was the shower was quite small. Other than that, everything was great!'

'Very clean, new, and modern. Only complaint is there could be a lot more kitchen utensils (ie. cheese grater, measuring cups/spoons, more pots/pans/mixing bowls. And more availability of blankets/pillows/garbage bags etc. Otherwise a beautiful spot in a great location! '

'This property has no place to put things, very minimal kitchen equipment, no lamps, no comfy chair, no TV instructions, no bedding for extra beds. Very clean but challenging to actually stay there. Outside box with key very difficult to access, broke two nails trying.'

'This was a great place to stay! Short walk to the heart of Freeport, which is a nice small town with a lot of shops and good restaurants. There were pretty steep steps up to the apartment, but if you don’t have a problem with that, you’ll love it. It has a very spacious updated kitchen that seemed well equipped — beds were comfortable (including the pull out sofa) and bathroom was clean and functional. The hosts communicated well with us. '

'We loved our stay here! What I loved most was the common area with the large sectional and seating area. Plenty of space for the 5 of us to spread out! We used the kitchen for all meals and it was adequately stocked with everything we needed for cookware and utensils. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The location is great, a quiet neighborhood and easy drive to the harbor. The only thing I would suggest to make it a better stay is more towels and adequate bedding for the pullout...
