'Given the lack of other accommodation available in Port Elliot, the rate is rather high for a Youth Hostel. Room was a bit stuffy and had to keep the window open and the fan going to get rid of the musty smell. Very small ensuite and shower.'

'It was great. Weird arrangement of the very small shower and toilet being either side of the shared kitchen/bathroom. Other than that it was roomy and comfortable. I accidentally left some drinks, bought as a gift. The cleaner came in as we were packing and we left him to it. Disappointed they didn't phone me and let me know l'd left it as l was nearby most of the day. Check in was easy, staff lovely and very friendly. Location is great and it was very quiet. Girls in the coffee shop next door...

'Everything you could need. Right in town so could walk to local sights but quiet and very clean. Plenty of nibbles, juice and breakfast needs available. Also fresh pint of milk. I was visiting friends who live in Willunga and would stay again here if I come again. Would wholly recommend to my friends.'

'I was in the area for work and thought this place would be good. Unfortunately, my colleague had a bereavement and could not come. I realise a refund was impossible of course ... the stay was imminent - but did think that if there was a mutually convenient time - something might be possible... I have done this with illness and this was the passing of a son... but I also paid for the breakfast for both rooms ... and even that was charged and not consumed! and apparently on arrival ... was advised...

'Loved our stay. The unit was beautifully presented inside and out with generous breakfast provisions provided. The bed was comfortable and the hosts have provided everything you may need for your stay. I loved the bed pillows provided, one soft and the other firm to cater to all needs. The outdoor area was inviting however because of the cold we enjoyed sitting in front of the sliding doors enjoying the morning sun streaming through. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.'
