Pattinson House is a block of 6 contemporary studios based in the heart of Bowness village. The building is names after its original builder George Pattinson, who was a local builder and boat collector.
The Pattinson family are responsible for constructing many of Windermere's landmark properties, such as the Windermere Hotel, Windermere Station, St Mary's Church and the Belsfield Hotel.
The Pattinson family were innovative and radical builders by the standards of the time, the construction of Windermere train station opened the doors for tourists to explore the beautiful Lake District for the first time This was met with some resistance by locals who did not want to share their beloved Lakes with outsiders.
The 6 suites are all named after George Pattison’s beloved steamboat collection that he sailed on Lake Windermere.
