This property was the setting for the wedding of my dreams, and the space itself has a lot of potential and beauty, which made our celebration very special. However, our overall stay was impacted by several issues that made the experience more stressful than expected. Upon arrival, the home did not appear fully ready for guests, and it felt as though cleaning and preparation from the previous stay were incomplete. Throughout our time there, we found ourselves needing to stay alert for additional maintenance, cleanliness, and safety concerns, which took away from our ability to fully relax. Several amenities were either not stocked, not functioning properly, or unclear in terms of availability or instructions. We were also not informed that the hosts would be present on the property, and unexpected entries into the home affected our sense of privacy. Certain safety concerns, including doors that did not lock and maintenance issues, were particularly concerning during a large event. The pool and outdoor areas were still in the process of being maintained during our stay, which limited our ability to enjoy them. While the wedding itself was incredibly meaningful and memorable, the condition and management of the property did not align with what was presented in the listing. With more attention to cleanliness, communication, and guest privacy, this could be a truly wonderful rental experience.
