'Super place to stay, food was fabulous and Shannon worked so hard and could not do enough to make the stay perfect.'

'Generally the rooms are to a high standard. The breakfasts are excellent, and the staff really friendly. Easy car parking. Only quibble is that we tried to book another 2 day stay, the system didn’t allow this - wanted 3 or more: this may vary with time of year.'

'We stayed in a comfortable twin room at the Hand Hotel with a view across the river. One of the beds was slightly tilted due to the sloping floor which could have been easily corrected by using feet raisers on two of the bed legs.'

'A hotel at a great location on the golf court, with a fantastic restaurant. Unfortunately the state of the building is not as nice as the picture shows, and the windows are desperately requiring maintenance. Service was OK, but I was given 2 single beds instead of a double bed, and they neglected to inform me that Wifi was free of charge. A lot of apologies, but not really what I expected for the price paid. Still an interesting experience and the restaurant made up for it.'

'Beautiful place in a lovely part of the world. Lakes and ponds with gardens. On-site spa with its own peace gardens with loungers (and waterfall!). The spa is worth a visit alone. Nice room, nice catering (we were at a wedding held onsite). Room had great air on/heating and good brew facilities. The shower and bath was epic for the price we paid. Will absolutely return. Only downside was checking in. I was not acknowledged, so began checking myself in electronically- then I was acknowledged...

'As basic as they get. Just enough to meet your needs for 1 or 2 nights. The price felt fair for what you got…a bed, shower and tv. Having said that, the mattress needs replacing and the shower had no soap in it.'

'Just back from a 3 night stay. Everything was 5* staff food beer garden and sun terrace perfect for a few beers in the sun. Room was big and spacious.Will definitely stay here again it was in walking distance to every thing.And the staff are amazing'

'we were put in a top floor room in the school masters house which unfortunately was closest to the main room which could noisy at times. Breakfast was good altho there seem better options on Saturday than Friday eg Fresh fruit/fruit salad. Staff in the Breakfast Room were attentive and worked were hard '

'It was easy to self check in and the room had everything needed for a great stay including the breakfast box. We took the dog with us and the room was ideal with plenty of room for us. We didn't see any staff as all the information was sent via phone. The staff member I spoke to on the phone to add the dog was very helpful and efficient. Lovely place to stay.'
