Located in the Old Harbour area of Wick, Bank Row is a quiet residential road leading to the sea front (just a minute walk). Once the busiest Herring Port in Europe, the town’s story is told in the excellent Wick Heritage Centre just a short walk from the property in Bank Row. Also nearby is the wonderful Pulteney Distillery which has been distilling Old Pulteney Single Malt Scotch Whiskey since 1826 and still uses the same traditional copper stills and processes to this very day. Tours of the Distillery provide a fascinating insight into the workings of Pulteney Distillery and an opportunity to taste their range of single malt whiskies. Bank Row is just a short walk from the Town Centre which has a host of restuarants, pubs and bars plus many shops including a Tesco Extra, Superdrug, Boots and Lidl (on the outskirts of the town). Caithness General hospital is also just a short 5 minute walk from the property.
