Rustic Cabin by Lake Whitney

Comfy, cozy cabin nestled in the woods right by Lake Whitney.
This is our family cabin. It was built in the 50's and has been remodeled inside an out, including tile shower, new floors, walls, ceilings, mounted HD TV, and wood burning stove.
New pull out couch in the living room area has gel foam mattress. The bedroom area has a queen size bed.
Perfect for weekend getaways, holiday retreats, or just to decompress.
The Lake Whitney area is known for its great hunting and fishing.
Local dock is three blocks away and the state park is less than 5 minutes away.
Great and super quiet lakeside neighborhood that offers incredible star gazing at night.
Private driveway can accommodate up to 3 vehicles.
Outdoor grill.
The kitchenette area comes furnished with a full size fridge, a two burner cooktop, basic set of dishes, utensils, coffee maker, blender, etc.
A custom design breakfast table compliments the common area and it is perfect for morning coffee.
High speed wireless internet is available.
HD TV - This is an app tv, just connect through your phone to watch your favorite channels.

This serene spot is an ideal weekend/weekday getaway for small families, small groups, or couples. It is walking distance away from the lake for convenient fishing or to take in the spectacular Lake Whitney sunrises and sunsets.

Pleasant Stay for Relaxation

This is a very pleasant rustic cabin. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. I live in the middle of a big city, and I was able to see the stars at night which was super pleasant. I have not seen the stars in ages. It was winter, and with no leaves on the trees, we could glimpse the lake. There was an air fryer which was not in the photos which could be very useful if a person choses to cook.:) The wifi was great. The neighbor's dog came by to visit and was super sweet. I would definitely stay here again.

Quaint cabin

This sweet little cabin was perfect for our stay as we just needed a place to rest between wedding festivities. The bed was comfortable, and the cabin was very clean. Roads are a bit rough around the area so watch out for pot holes!

Disappointing Property

I was very disappointed with the area. It was a normal neighborhood with lots of homes . I was under the impression that the cabin was on or near the lake and it was not. Also the access to the cabin had very steep wooden stairs and I almost fell 4 times. My husband had to help me up and down. We left after one day.

Wonderful getaway!

A friend and I stayed for three nights in early March and loved the property. Everything is exactly as pictured and very clean. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom has the best shower I’ve ever had. There are plenty of fans and the window unit kept the room comfortable. There were plenty of kitchen utensils to cook. There isn’t a stove but there is a two burner cooktop that worked great for making steaks and chicken as well breakfast. Outside, the deck is nice and we did light a fire one night in the fire pit which was perfect. The lake view is obstructed by trees and a few houses but it’s still beautiful. We even got a few visits from the neighbor’s friendly dog, Harley. Super happy with our stay and would 100% return.

Perfect for us!

We haf the ability for a last minute getaway, from our very full chaotic household. We wanted to take our 80# mix breed, former pound puppy, Zeusifer. We traded the idea of a hot tub, for our ESA. Not trained, just how it worked out. We just celebrated 22 years of marriage, and have a total of 7 kids at home. This lottle cabin is an open space, and just insanely relaxing! We hungbout reading, talking, or catching some much needed 💤. The neighborhood had some rough roads, and there are some closer neighbors, but nothing that effected our peace. We had groceries delivered, grabbed foor to-go, and grilled on the little BBQ provided. The place was nice and clean, my husband LOVED the rain shower head in the bath. Hung out in bed, watching movies and shows we're behind on. Zeusifer was pretty comfortable, once he realized we were all staying. This was an awesome short stay, only an hour from home. Would definitely stay here again!
