'Out of the way location, so it was quite quiet. The pool was closed for some unknown reason. I stayed on the first floor and I could hear people walking on the floors above me, so if you consider yourself a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you unless you’re on an upper floor.'

'This property is dated but was very comfortable for our 4 day stay. Everything in our room was in good working order. The breakfast was good too. The on site restaurant closed too early which was disappointing . The staff was helpful and kind good people work there!!'

'Check in was a little different. I was asked for my drivers license and the associate made a copy and put it aside a later put the copy in a binder. Why was this done? I always have given my license when asked at hotel but have never seen it kept like that. My room was 316. Went up to the 3rd floor and could not find my room. 'We really enjoyed our stay here! The room was very comfortable and clean with ample outlets and ports for device charging. Elevators make the multiple levels of the building easily accessed. Especially fabulous features are the inn's restaurant (featuring delicious and beautifully presented food that we sampled for dinner and breakfast) along with their full bar and excellent wine offerings.'

'I was thrilled with the location. Very short walk into town, and had plenty of parking. Checking in was a breeze by just using codes to the doors. My first impression walking into the building was that it smelled VERY clean. My room was spotless, bright and charming. I stayed in Room #8, and it was the perfect size for a single or a couple. The ONLY thing I wish it had was a blow dryer, but that is a VERY minor mark. 5 stars all around, and will stay here again!'

And rushed me out of there going so far as to follow me to the office and basically telling me to leave. Very unprofessional. That needs to get cleaned up. Nice place otherwise'

'Quaint and comfortable stay for our one night in the most adorable town of Shelburne Falls. A walk to the river and the bridge of flowers at sunset gave us the most beautiful pictures. Owner was kind and helpful. We stayed here while my son biked at Thunder Mountain-a quick easy 10 min drive away and would stay again.'

It would have been nice to enjoy a hot breakfast on the cold and gloomy morning that we were there, though. We enjoyed meeting our friendly host, Joe, and had a nice conversation with him as he explained the history of the property and some future kitchen renovations he has in the works. 'This Viking Village is fantastic. There is so much eye for details, you really enter a different world. We had a great time there and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The house has everything you need, and is very comfortable. The guide inside the house with tips and suggestions for visiting and eating/drinking in the area is very comprehensive and helpful. Do not mis this place when you are in the area. '
