Had a wonderful, relaxing, stay with my mature pups (8 and 9 years old). We so enjoyed daily walks along the beach. Being from Colorado, they loved investigating new sights and scents, and I enjoyed watching them explore like puppies again. The setting is beautiful, peaceful, and ideal for those seeking to recharge and/or spend quality time with family and friends. The home is comfortable, well-stocked, and best of all, steps away from the ocean.

This is a beautiful property. The home was welcoming and warm after a cold travel day. And the ease to get up and walk the beach in mere minutes was delightful. The home is located in a neighborhood which made the beach access feel exclusive as it was hardly anyone out (it’s still quite cold now so maybe summers are different) There’s a small mud/shower room available as you come back from the beach to clean off before entering which was much needed. I will be visiting again to enjoy a peaceful weekend getaway.

Very nice stay overall. The location was terrific, with direct access to the beach, which was the highlight of the trip. The kitchen was very well stocked, which was really nice, and the beds were comfortable. We also appreciated the closet stocked with books and games.There were a few quirks that didn’t significantly impact our stay but are worth noting. We weren’t able to figure out the thermostats, which led to some very warm and very cold moments. The dryer didn’t work well, so we ended up heading home with damp, musty clothes.There was also quite a bit of sand in and around the house. While there appeared to be a back deck, it was completely covered in sand and unusable during our stay. Additionally, there were two small beach chairs provided, but both were broken, so we eventually gave up and just sat on the sand.Overall, it’s a great house in an excellent location. It does feel a bit older, and with that comes a handful of minor but somewhat annoying issues.

Loved the location. Clean. Large space so everyone can spread out but still feel like you're spending time together. Pull out couch can sleep another two people. So really can sleep up to eight. Will do this again.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway! The house was very comfortable and well-equipped with everything you need to cook meals and enjoy your stay. My kids especially loved the "bunk room" — it gave them their own space and added some privacy while sharing a room.One thing to note, check-in isn’t until 5 PM, so be sure to plan your travel day accordingly. It’s a good idea to have a local activity lined up if you arrive early.

My dad and I enjoyed our stay very much. He is 86 years old. I searched for a property that had an amazing view of the ocean. Apparently the photos are not up to date as the sand dunes have blocked 80% of the ocean view we initially saw on VRBO. A huge portion of the overnight charge is based on location and view. The beach was epic and ideal for me to walk my dogs. I would hope to come back and visit once you hired someone to level the sand to mirror what is advertised.

Very quiet location with somewhat easy access to sandy beach hiking over small dunes, a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable bed. The home exterior seems tired and exterior a bit run down. Kitchen windows are screened but have large holes, so flies happily came inside when I needed to open the windows. I was so looking forward to sitting out on the "patio" shown in the property description but it was entirely filled with sand to the top of its walls! I understand that the home is in an entire peninsula of dunes, but that amount of sand movement happened over a period of time, so I think that the property needs some better exterior management to make it more visitor friendly, or don't advertise the outside sitting area.

House was cute but not particularly clean with visible dog hair in the bedding, requiring us to wash the bedding before we could go to sleep. Furniture smelled like pet urine. The outside patio was inaccessible due to being completely buried in sand. The shower between house and garage was convenient and the firepit was nice. There was only one window with a screen. Property host did not respond to message regarding concerns for cleanliness of house. Overall, not a property we will return to.

Good location

This is a nice house in a good location. Be aware that the dunes cover a lot of the ocean view from the house but it is a nice private location on a quiet beach. There weren’t any outside chairs provided so be sure to bring your camp chairs from home. If they have a shoulder strap you can carry them to the top of the dunes to see the sunset.

Mother’s Day trip

We spent two nights here with our family of 6. The master bedroom has a nice memory foam mattress. The second bedroom has a bed and bunks and the house supplies a pack and play, so all four kids slept comfortably together in the second room. The living room is oriented around the big windows overlooking dunes with a view of the ocean as well. In the pictures the home looks to be right in the sand and it did not disappoint in this regard. The kids spent hours playing in the sand and running around in the dunes. We could see them from the living room windows as we relaxed in the peaceful quiet! :) super easy access to the water for beach time, walks and searching the sand for treasures. All-in-all this was a lovely, modest location for a great long weekend.

Lovely Visit

We had a wonderful stay at this property. We celebrated our daughter’s 5th birthday here and she didn’t want to leave. The location was perfect. We were disappointed to find all of the outdoor and beach chairs broken. 5pm is also quite a late checkin (especially with littles) and communication regarding an earlier checkin could have been better. We had lunch at the Drift Inn and it was very lovely!

R&R Beach Get away.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was just my wife and I and our little pups. It was a good set up for us, and we were able to escape here and forget about our every day worries. Amenities were good and kitchen had enough utensils and pans for us to make our meals. The bed was comfortable and we slept great! The pups had fun on the beach. We will definitely go back if we have an opportunity in the future. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

This was a get away from all of life’s challenges. Had a great time. Lots of sand and great walks on the beach. Waldport has great shops and restaurants!! Seal Rock is just north of town had great shops too.
