'Great hostel, owner is super nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Place is just a 10 minute walk to the main area of Gaia and Porto, so its quiet, but also convenient. I got a private room in this hostel, but I'm sure a dorm room would've been fine. Free breakfast every morning and owner offers recommendations or engaging conversations about Portugal and Porto. They did my laundry for 10 euros too, which was great. '

Yes, the view of Porto was nothing less than spectacular, the location terrific, the lodgings as advertised ( Though it would have been nice if napkins, paper towels, directions for a laundromat, and other essentials had been provided for.) The real disappointment was the host - if you can call him that. He lives two minutes walk from the apartment but could not be bothered to welcome...

'Het enige unike aan de het hotel was de ligging aan de zee. Maar voor de rest was het echt heel slecht. Je verwacht een 4 sterren hotel maar het zijn er met moeite 2 waard. Dat Expedia met dit hotel in zee gaat is niet te begrijpen. Je was verplicht een badmuts voor 5 euro te kopen mocht je willen zwemmen. Wil je een gebakken eitje bij je ontbijtje dan mag je extra betalen. Of een ommeltje mag je 4 euro meer betalen bij het ontbijt. Ondanks dat je al ontbijt erbij hebt zitten.'
