This is a gorgeous property in an amazing location. The grounds, with 2 pools and various outdoor sitting areas are a bit of a maze and very intriguing. When we got off the Camino we spent a couple of hours sitting under a pergola relaxing, journalling and chatting, drinking in the surroundings and the views (as well as a little vinho!).
We had what they called a family room but was in fact a large suite with two good sized bedrooms and a bathroom, complete with clawfoot bathtub. Everything was clean and in reasonable repair.
The downside for us was that neither the bed nor the pillows were comfortable, detracting from what otherwise was a wonderful stay.
Service was great, breakfast was adequate, and they machine washed and dried a load of clothes for us for free.
All in all a very good stay at a beautifully authentic historic quinta.
