'The Columbia Gorge Hotel is very special because of the building itself and the spectacular location overlooking the Columbia Gorge. The grounds are amazing - reflective of the northwest esthetic, gardens, trees, and a creek leading to a spectacular waterfall. The building is beautiful, well preserved, honoring the time period from which it originated, but still maintained in good order. Very clean and comfortable in every way.'

Weinig hartelijke ontvangst: "here you have some information about the area, but you are only here for one night so you won' be able to see much.... Inderdaad, wanneer we de volgende dag gaan wandelen (vroeg om de massa voor te zijn), moeten we wachten tot het ontbijt klaar is om 9 U. Voor 120 euro, zou ik zeggen goed adres, voor 200 euro, overpriced'

'There was dried food matter in the refrigerator and on the stove, just over all very dirty. The staff were very friendly, but the room wasn't clean at all. They did have a help wanted sign on the front sign, so I'm guessing they were short on help. We just went and got some supplies and cleaned it up. The tv barely worked as well, just kept going on and off. Reception problem I'm sure. Fortunately we had lots of plans for outings so we we mostly just there to sleep. But if I had any advice...

'Hosts were outstanding on check in. I arrived later in evening around 7:30 pm and they were friendly and receptive and recommended dining options. Even walked me down to the cabin to show the way in the dark. Room was immaculate and beautifully done and very comfortable. Would stay here anytime when within the area. Good location and convenient to attractions, dining, and all basic staples.'
