Maison magnifique sur les hauteurs de Vicopisano

La maison est grande et en hauteur avec une vue imprenable sur la vallée de l'Arno. Elle est très ancienne, proche de Pise et Volterra et du train pour Florence. Une situation idéale. Les propriétaires habitent à l'arrière de la maison mais sont extrêmement discrets. Ils sont néanmoins exceptionnellement gentils, réactifs et prêts à nous conseiller et renseigner sur la région.

We spent several days at the villa in mid-september of 2022. We enjoyed very much the hospitality and kindness of the owners, Sylvia and Antonio. Their villa is charming, full of their family souvenirs, and the view over the valley is breathtaking. A place to remember for sure!

Charming house very well located

Good points: - very kind couple managing the house (Antonio & his wife) who are living in the neighborhood - excellent location which allowed us to go to the sea and visit pisa, lucca and siena; - very good possibilities to cook and eat (plenty of space) inside and outside; - very nice view from a beautiful spot; - large house with a lot of space. Improvement possibility: - the decoration of the house could be less "charged" and therefore more convenient for the travelers (more space to put things down). Conclusion: over all we had a very pleasant stay and I recommand this house for people who would like to visit several places in toscana. Thanks a lot to the owners!

Une belle semaine en Toscane.

Cette semaine du 11 au 18 août a passé bien trop vite à la belle villa Belvedere poesia située au milieu d'un océan d'oliviers et dominant un magnifique paysage. Nos hôtes ont été charmants et attentionnés tout en restant très discrets. Ils nous ont fait découvrir un art de vivre de cette région toscane. Merci à Sylvia pour les bons repas qu'elle nous a concocté. Bravo à Antonio pour ses talents de magicien qui ont séduits nos petits enfants. Liliane, René, Anne-Gaelle, Nicolas, Irène, Vassili.

It is a beautiful property, Silvia and Antonio are great hosts and now friends, they were very kind and thoughtful, Antonio had a bottle of Chianti ready for us at arrival and Silvia made a great dessert for us the second day,unforgettable stay. I firgot my Drivers Licence and a credit card and Antonio mailed it to the US the nact day!Thank you Silvia and Antoinio, we'll be back!

The owners were very kind and friendly, which we truly appreciated during our stay. They even made us cake. However, the house has a lot of personal photos and to many things, which made it feel more like staying in someone else’s home than a rental. Most importantly, the property is not rented exclusively — the owners live at the back of the house during your stay, though they use a separate area and a back entrance.

The villa was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the use of the pool, the ability to spread out in the many rooms, and cooking in the kitchen. The view is stunning. The hosts were delightful and helpful. We were able to find the villa easily, but it is up a narrow steep road. The hosts recommended to not drink the tap water and provided us with 2L of bottled water.

I can confirm all the positive comments on previous reviews.Lovely tranquil place to stay.Antonio and Sylvia are friendly and helpful when needed, while respecting your privacy when not.Each bedroom is lovely, and each has air-conditioning.A car is needed of course.Great cafe and restaurants in the local village (Vicopisanio) at the bottom of the hill.

Unser Aufenthalt bei Antonio und seiner Frau war wirklich hervorragend! Sie wohnen direkt hinter dem Haus, man bekommt sie jedoch kaum mit. Beide sind äußerst zuvorkommend und geben gerne Tipps zu Ausflügen in der Gegend. Sogar die Kirche im Dorf und die Geschichte dazu wurde uns persönlich von Antonio gezeigt. Wir haben selten so nette Gastgeber gehabt. Das charmante Haus ist gut ausgestattet, sauber und liegt sehr schön auf den Hügeln von Pisa. Der Salzwasser-Pool wird zwei mal die Woche gereinigt und ist dementsprechend sehr sauber. Jeden Abend läuft mit Garten eine Stunde Musik, was dem Ganzen eine einzigartige Atmosphäre verleiht.Sehr empfehlenswert!

Beautiful Villa incredible location

The Villa is in a great location. Up in the hills with a beautiful view. My family enjoyed staying here. The location is very close to a train station which allowed us to travel many different places after a 20 minute drive to get to the station. Morning and evenings were picture perfect. Eating a meal outside and enjoying the lights of the city below was especially nice. The owners are great people and were friendly and helpful. I wish we had more time to spend at the Villa. We traveled every day to Florence Rome Venice etc.so we left early and came back late. My one wish is that the master bedroom had air conditioning like the other rooms did because it was hot while we were there. Apart from that the Villa is perfect and we would highly recommend staying there.

It's not just a villa, it's a museum of art and culture! The amount of details in each room and even bathroom is unbelievable. You need two days to just discover and appreciate the way Antonio and Silvia decorated the place. There is even a Billiard table in the house, the kind that doesn't have pockets, it's for those who love to play 3-Cushion. The terrace and the garden were very well taken care of. The highlight was the pool which is around 13m long, 2.5m wide and 1.5m deep and had light in it for swimming in the night and there is a possibility to cover it to swim in a rainy day. The pool was filled with salt water and Antonio cleaned it twice a week. The place is surrounded by trees, mostly olive trees and it's perfect to relax and just feel disconnected from the stressful daily life. The view over Vicopisano and other towns is unbelievably beautiful, especially at sunset, when the Classical music starts to play for an hour at the pool. Antonio and Silvia live on the other side of the house, and were there to help us with anything we needed. They truly respected our private sphere and surprised us one day with a delicious pizza and a home made chocolate cake. On the last day they gave us a very beautiful present as an appreciation for being good guest and leaving the place clean and tidy. For inexperienced drivers the road to the villa can be a little challenging, but for those who used to drive among the mountains on tiny roads, it's a peace of cake.We loved it there!

Character and Tranquillity

Our family had an unforgettable stay at this charming villa, and we can’t recommend it enough! We were captivated by its history and quirky character. The tranquil surroundings provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoyed our coffee and meals in the beautifully maintained outside space. The villa was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like the welcome basket and some delicious home-made food. The hosts Antonio and Silvia are incredibly nice people (the world needs more people like them), and they were super accommodating and responsive throughout our stay. There are many memorable places to visit within a drivable distance. Apart from the obvious ones, we’d recommend Montecatini Terme, and it’s Crocodile Fountain; the village of Volterra (visit the torture museum for something different), or Wind Caves (Grotta del Vento) that is a bit further away. There are many more smaller villages around to immerse yourselves in the local culture. A small word of caution - the villa is situated on the hill, so the last kilometre or so goes through narrow winding roads that might seem difficult for inexperienced drivers, though it’s definitely nothing scary. All in all, if you’re looking for a place that offers both character and tranquillity, this villa is a gem!

Perfect Family Retreat

Such a wonderful property, beautifully landscaped and set among acres of olive trees, the views are stunning! Antonio and Sylvia were the perfect hosts, welcoming us when we pulled in and always quick to reply to inquiries about the property or about the best restaurants and other attractions in the extended area. There were some breakfast items (including fresh fruit), frozen local artisan pizzas and a bottle of wine provided to get us through the first few meals. Sylvia also surprised us with some home-cooked treats, which were absolutely delicious! If you're planning to self-cater, you'll want to stock up on some kitchen/cleaning items. Not much in the way of groceries in town, but the Pam Superstore about ten minutes further down the road has everything you could possibly need. Also a Lidl and a Coop nearby for quicker grocery trips. After exploring a different medieval town (many, many within a 30-60 minute drive), we cooled off and relaxed in the pool daily. The driveway is long and steep, but it provides for much privacy and was no problem with five adults in our small rental SUV. The interior of the villa is charming. Each bedroom is very private, and it's great that each also has its own bath. Vicopisano, the nearest town, has a great bakery, a couple of very good restaurants, and the best gelato in Tuscany. The Brunelleschi Tower is definitely worth a tour, as is the Frantioio di Vicopisano olive farm on the way to Vicopisano from the villa.

Wow! The view and hospitality were second to none.

Antonio and Sylvia are amazing! They greeted us when we got there, and took us through the house. Then they were readily available whenever we had questions, via text or email was best. Then when we left, they gave us the most thoughtful gift to remember our vacation. The view from the house over the towns is unmatched and we had so much fun in the evenings sitting out on the patio playing cards or just talking. We highly recommend this house!

INCREDIBLE HOME AND OWNERS

We have travelled all over much of the world over the last 40 years. We can honestly state that this villa was exquisite and furnished beautifully with many antiques. The view on top of the mount was breathtaking. The owners, Antonio and Silvia are unquestionably the finest, dearest owners we have ever met. They could not do enough for us and at the end of our one month stay with them felt like family. .upon leaving, we hugged and kissed with affection knowing we would miss each other. We cannot recommend Antonio and Silvia and their beautiful villa more enthusiatically.

Superverblijf

Voor wie op zoek is naar rust, natuur en prachtige uitzichten, is dit HET adres!! De gastheer Antonio is een zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame man, hij staat steeds discreet klaar!! Zelfs onze 4 jonge kids werden hartelijk onthaald en voorzien van zelfgekweekt vers fruit! Het huis is een pareltje: wie graag enkele decenia terug in de tijd wil gaan, maar toch nood heeft aan hedendaagse accomodatie is dit the place to be!! Wij raden dit verblijf ten zeerste aan!! Enige minpuntje: bereikbaarheid met een grote auto (a la opel zafira life 8-zit) is de eerste keer echt een uitdaging, maar je geraakt er wel!!

I had very pleasant experience

Everything was wonderful. The house is beautiful and I felt it was a dream every time I stood on the terrace and looked down at the town. We we surrounded by olive trees and beautiful flowers that released amazing smells, especially jasmine, which happens to be one of my favorite. Stepping into the house was like traveling back in time with exquisite architecture and decor. It rained while we were there and we were lucky to see the breathtaking waterfall on the side of the driveway leading up to the house. The owners, Antonio and Silvia were delightful. They provided us with local events and suggestions. We visited a little town called Monte Carlo thanks to Antonio and had a wonderful time. This experience is unforgettable. Thank you Antonio and Silvia for your beautiful home and hospitality.

Außergewöhnliches, mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltete Villa, in atemberaubender Lage.

Ich hatte dieses traumhafte, einzigartige Haus glücklicherweise, bei FeWo-direkt gefunden, um mit meinem Mann, meinen beiden Kindern und deren Partnern, hier meinen runden Geburtstag vom letzten Jahr, zu begehen. Der herzliche Empfang am Anreisetag erfolgte durch Antonio und Silvia, dem Gastgeberehepaar. Wir wurden durch das außergewöhnliche, alte Haus geführt und mit diesem vertraut gemacht. Jeder Wohnraum ist ein Unikat und wir konnten uns gar nicht genug satt sehen, an den vielen Antiquitäten, Gemälden und wunderbaren Gegenständen im gesamten Haus. Jedes Paar hatte ein Schlafzimmer und ein eigenes Bad, perfekt. In der Küche war alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Für das erste Frühstück, hatten Antonio und Silvia einige Sachen gekauft. Als Begrüßung stand auch eine Flasche Rotwein bereit, die wir dann am Abend genossen haben. Unser Lieblingsplatz war die überdachte Terrasse, angeschlossen an die Küche. Dort haben wir gegessen, getrunken, gelesen, Schach und Anderes gespielt und uns einfach wohl gefühlt. Außerdem haben wir viel Zeit an dem wunderschönen Pool verbracht, dieser war sehr sauber und alles ist sehr gepflegt. Mein Highlight war das tägliche, einstündige Konzert am Pool, mit vielen klassischen Musikstücken, über zwei Lautsprecher zu hören. Antonio war zu jeder Zeit erreichbar, wenn wir Fragen oder Wünsche hatten. Zwischendurch gab es eigens hergestellte Oliven und selbstgemachte Marmelade. Ich weiß nicht, was es besser zu machen geht, es war für uns ein besonderes Erlebnis in diesem Haus und wir danken Antonio und Silvia sehr herzlich, für ihre unaufdringliche Gastfreundschaft. Ich hoffe, wir kommen bald wieder in dieses Paradies zurück. Danke,Danke,Danke.....sagen Annika und Silvio, Philipp und Dorothea, sowie Andreas und Sigrid.

Wunderschön

Es war echt wunderschön. Der Blick über Belverde traumhaft. Das Haus und der Pool waren echt schön sauber. Die Gastgeber sehr nette Leute. Ich kann es alles nur empfehlen.
