Alyssa House Venice
"Casa Alyssa" is a large and quiet 80 square meter apartment located in the beautiful Cannaregio district (one of the 6 districts of Venice). The room is cozy with its two armchairs and the sofa. Its 3 rooms (one double and 2 twin rooms) arranged around the common room can accommodate up to 6 people (2 more people can sleep on the sofa bed). The kitchen and the bathroom are fully equipped with everything you need.
The Cannaregio district is a very beautiful area of Venice still alive and popular. Just a 5-minute walk from Casa Alyssa is the Tre Archi vaporetto. From there you can reach any part of Venice. If you prefer to go on foot, twenty minutes will take you to the Rialto Bridge, and half an hour to Piazza San Marco. Near the apartment there is also the Jewish Ghetto of Venice, the picturesque Fondamenta della Misericordia full of typical Venetian bars, clubs and restaurants and the long "new road" that will take you through Venice in all its beauty.
Casa Alyssa is just 15 minutes walk from Piazzale Roma. 10 from the train station. 5 minutes from the Tre Archi vaporetto stop from which you can reach any part of Venice. If you prefer to go on foot, a twenty minute walk will take you to the Rialto Bridge, and half an hour to Piazza San Marco

Italy journey
Wonderful stay and apartment. A bit off the path which was nice for us, but maybe not all. Quite a bit of the canal sidewalks are under upgrade improvements, but caused no major problem. Convenient for the water ferry out to the islands, but about 12 minutes back to the train station for the main canal water ferry.

Quiet and convienent
We loved staying at this apartment; it was very conviently located to both the waterbus stop and great restaurants. We all appreciated getting out of the crush of tourists in the busier parts of Venice and being able to retreat to the cool aparment to rest before dinner. We'd definetly stay here again if we returne to Venice!

Great location for a local feel to Venice but …
Not enough space to say it all..
Untimely communication not received by us, which led to us rushing from the airport, which in turn led to me having my wallet, money and cards stolen even before we had reached the property.
We were not told about the late arrival charge in advance, we were not told about the tax that we were required to pay ( Nb overcharged first time, and this was challenged after I read the rules on the Venice authorities website.. and no way this is a 4 star property so why charge 4 euros per person per night when the range is 1 to 5 euros and only for the first 5 nights, and half price for children ( our receipt indicated 3 adults for 6 nights, when it was 2 adults and 1 child chargeable, and should have been 5 nights). This do not feel honest, and unless I had looked it up, we would have paid in good faith.
Cleanliness left a lot to be desired: bathroom floor was dirty, sheets had hair in them which indicated they had not been changed..
and the property advertises 3 bedrooms.. and we needed 3 bedrooms, but the owner had not made up all 3 rooms ( if indeed they changed the sheets at all).
On the other hand, they were understanding of my predicament on the first night, and checked up on me the second night. Which was appreciated.
There is no mention on the website listing of the need to provide passport details. On the third day, I had 4 messages and 3 phone calls about this. And there is more but no space left here. Msg me directly for more.

Great location
The apartment is in a residential area so very quiet but just minutes away from the hustle and bustle. Communication and check in/out were faultless. Very comfortable bed. There were a few very minor issues, such as light bulbs not working, that were not worth bothering the host with. We had a lovely week

This house was great the manager was fantastic, in close contact with her, she allowed us to check in early which was so nice, located 30 minutes away from St Marks square, so it was a walk. Very nice place, definitely recommend.
