'We had a really lovely stay at Casa do Cedro - the building and the grounds are beautiful, the room spacious and comfortable, and the service from Ana was excellent: friendly, personal and attentive. And the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel!'

'Superbe endroit! Vue à couper le souffle dans une belle grande maison d’un décor tiré du passé. Le coucher du soleil sur notre terrasse de la cabine 6 était splendide. Bon déjeuner fourni directement à la cabine. Cuisine complète et salle de bain correcte. Il faut marcher en pente pour s’y rendre avec les bagages, la communication a été plus difficile car je ne parle pas portugais, il n’y a pas de réception, il y a peu de restaurants aux alentours. 'Cosy, warm friendly family hotel. Exentric interior and great breakfast buffet. Monfortinho is great outside the winter i guess, in december its pretty much deserted, but wandering in nature here is great, and its nice and quit. This hotel i would recommend to anyone in any season. '

'Checking was a breeze with host giving valuable advice on where to eat. Rooms were very clean. Atmosphere and location was perfect for getting away from the busy cities. Plenty of options for breakfast! Would love to come back in the future!'

'Estuvimos muy agusto, el sitio es precioso y el personal muy atento, nos trataron fenomenal, pendientes en todo momento de las necesidades de los clientes. La comida excelente, todo un acierto cenar allí. El único pero que puedo poner es la luz de emergencia de la habitación que ilumina mucho y tuve que tapar y el colchón, excesivamente duro. Gracias por una estancia maravillosa.'

'This is a fabulous little hotel. It has obviously been recently refurbished and modernised. It is spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful. Continental breakfast was great value for only €5 and there is a handy cafe/bar right next door.'

'Bij aankomst (14:00) was de kamer niet klaar en moesten we 1 uur wachten tot die klaar was. Kamer was heel warm en de airco blies warme lucht. Melding gemaakt en ze zouden er naar kijken maar hebben dat niet gedaan. Bediening bij het diner was heel slecht. Pas na een half uur kwamen ze onze bestelling opnemen. Bediening had het te druk met elkaar en met bekende gasten. Het eten was wel prima. 's avonds bij de bar was er geen personeel aanwezig. Het zwembad is prachtig met genoeg plek en...
