Just what we needed! This property was quiet, so cozy and had an amazing porch for sipping morning coffee or watching a beautiful sunset. We did both! Already planning a family trip in the fall. We will definately book this home again. The host were very responsive, easy to get ahold of by text and so kind. Loved fresh baked cookies for us upon our arrival as well as friendly texts about our stay. It really is the little things that make a huge difference in where you stay.

Scenic Getaway

What a wonderful vacation home! This place offers something for everyone. Fun for little kids, teens, and adults! Convenient access to area attractions and activities and far enough out of Waco for rural relief! We loved the scenic views and truly enjoyed the spectacular sunrises and soothing sunsets!! All this along with a symphony of birds singing. We hope to return on our next adventure in this area!

Incredible Property

We had an amazing time at this beautiful home in Valley Mills. The kitchen was well-supplied, and we loved eating outside under the covered porch. Beds were extremely comfortable, and the living room was great for watching sports. We had everything we needed because of the thoughtfulness our hosts put into every detail, including great communication during our stay. The highlight was the gorgeous 3-acre property, with the best views in all of Texas. Do not pass up the opportunity to stay at this incredible place.

Stunning views

I don’t even know where to begin. We have been renting VRBO’s for about 15 years and this one is by far one of our favorites. The dogs favorite for sure!!! A perfect place for families of all ages to escape to, everything is well thought out as what you may need and the house is warm and cozy. Didn’t get a chance to use the s’mores provided but maybe next time.

Waco Girls Trip

this is our third year we’ve stayed at this property and we’ll stay there over and over again! The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay and beautiful views from the back porch. The host, Bob, and Teresa are always available to answer any questions. A great place to stay a!

So comfortable and Relaxing

We traveled from North Georgia to stay at this home in Valley Mills. The reason for our trip in the first place was we were going to see Metallica in Arlington. We’ve never done VRBO before, so this house was our first. It happened to be about 2 hours from our concert venue, but we all decided that was okay, because we thought the listing for the home looked like it might be worth it. And we were right. We spent 7 days here at the home. My wife and I (she’s 30, I’m 27), my mom (in her 60’s) and our 15 month old little girl all fit perfectly in this home. And our little dog too! The homeowners, Bob and Teresa, we’re both VERY accommodating, asking us about the baby and the dog, to make sure the house was set up properly before we arrived. The home was clean, tidy, and we felt right at home. The property was our favorite part though. The fenced in yard was perfect for our little dog. The sunsets were STUNNING! I didn’t hear a peep from the neighbors around us (if they were even there?). One of the “least appealing” things about our trip was the TX heat. Every day was 110 degrees. Not quite what we were used to in north GA. But that wasn’t an issue for this home. The AC unit kept up flawlessly. The little swimming pool is where we spent most of our time if we weren’t in the home. There were a good amount of fans provided on the back porch, so we spent a good amount of time there too. I am out of characters for this review, but have many more good things to say about our stay.

Amazing View

Great location. Huge fenced-in yard for our dogs to run around in. Amazing view off the back patio into the valley below. It is a must to go to Helberg Barbecue, the best food I had in the Waco area. Valley Brew coffee downtown is a nice place to start your day. Very friendly people in the Valley Mills area.

Fabulous sunsets!

The house was very clean. All of the amenities listed were available. For our visit to the rural communities in Coryell, Bosque, and McClennan counties, the location worked well. The back deck which overlooks the valley was spectacular at sunset. We could see a small herd of deer each dusk. Well equipped kitchen. The property, although in a neighborhood, is very private.

Wonderful get away!!

BEST and I don’t use this word lightly, best Vrbo or ANY house, hotel, resort we have ever stayed in. Felt like home. They treat you like family. we wanted to get away this Christmas and it was completely magical. We will stay again! All pros, no cons what so ever! Extremely kid friendly. My boys cried to leave! Says a lot lol! We all miss this home already! Can’t say enough good things! Bob is really fast to respond and very knowledgeable and kind!

Great stay!

I had an amazing experience at this property! The home is very cozy, the property is beautiful, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could have needed. The check-in and check-out process we're super easy and the host made themselves available if any problems came up. No problems did come up, but it was nice to know they'd be available had we had any issues. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Can't wait for another chance to go back!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay!

I really can't say enough good things about our stay at Bob and Teresa's home. It truly was a place for us to call home while visiting Texas. The hosts themselves are so friendly and accommodating. They quickly answered any questions we had about the property, as well as about local things to see and do. And all of their suggestions were perfect for our family. The home and it's property are beautiful. The house was clean, comfortable and well thought out for guests. It had everything we needed for our time there. Our favorite place was outside though! The view from the back porch is amazing at all times of the day and we spent most of our time enjoying that and the yard, which has something fun for everyone! The location is ideal, as it's close to Waco, but still in the country. Valley Mills is a cute little town with just about everything you might need. And the Valley Mills Vineyard is just down the road which is a must see! We can't wait to come back!!
