Heaven Can't Wait, On Beautiful Kinderhook Lake!!

Hello again repeat and new guests! Thank you for a very enjoyable 2024. All of you were great! We are looking forward to another relaxing season and know you are too! Our cottage is offered to those guests who are looking to relax & enjoy peace & quiet. NO LOUD MUSIC or parties! (Which is not allowed) C Yes, we have Wi - Fi so you can do your computer work while being safe and enjoy the beautiful sunset & other views from inside the cottage, indoor or outdoor porch. We are offering our lovely cottage to those who want to relax and enjoy life from May 1st thru November 15th. The docks and outside deck re stained.
To be fair to all our guests, weekly rentals are from Friday - Friday ( Thank you ) Our cottage is right on beautiful Kinderhook lake. Walk down the porch & the lake is 10' away right off lawn & The Empire State Trail is only 200' away for those who like to bike walk or both and see beautiful scenery including pastures, streams horses and horse farms!
There are kayaks for your use or bring your own kayaks canoes or boats & tie them up to one of the two docks. Fishing is great and you could fish off the dock, porch or front lawn if you wanted to! The house has 2 ac units and a forced hot air heater. There is no better way to relax then to have dinner or just a few cold ones and enjoy the view of the lake. BBQ, table with umbrella, seating for 6 & lounges on outside deck. Also has inside porch with dining table, couch, tv & ac. Less than 2 hrs. from NYC about 45 minutes from Albany, Monticello, so everything is close. It is all ready for a week or weekend getaway with your family & friends, (Just bring your own linens, 1 queen & 1 double bed) or a romantic weekend getaway for u & your special someone. It has a full kitchen, complete with 4 burner stove, oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, all needed cookware, dinner plates for 6, utensils & even a new coffee maker. It sleeps 4 comfortably with 2 bedrooms. It has a full bath with a shower. The Hudson River Rail Trail is nearby!! So come and relax and enjoy. Thank you in advance for looking. Just a heads up to our guests that the lake gets lowered around October 15th so fishing, kayaking and swimming will not be available. Don't worry the views are still beautiful and you can still see the water. Thank you again, John

Fantastic cottage! Neighbors hardly around and deck large and comfy. The enclosed porch was huge and allowed card game fun! My 92 year old Mom was craving quiet and peaceful lake vibes and this cottage was perfect. New large Roku tv was great! Comfy couches and well equipped kitchen! The owner John was quick to respond to questions before we got there so I knew what to bring. Easy parking and no step in. THANKS John!

I stayed at John’s cabin with my husband and our 1-year old son toward the end of August. This was our second time staying at his cabin as our close friends own the cabin next door. It’s always so perfect and I never want to leave. The lake is right outside the back door and the deck gets amazing sunlight. The sunsets are priceless. If I have my way, it will be an annual tradition for our family for years to come!

What a beautiful location on Kinderhook Lake. When you aren’t on the water, you will want to enjoy viewing the lake from the nice sized deck or from the dining table on the windowed porch. I traveled with my two young adult children and pup. The cottage was the perfect size for us. WiFi was great, one of us had to work a day while there. We kayaked every morning and evening, the provided kayaks were wonderful. There is plenty to explore on the 350 acre lake, saw bald eagles every day right near the cottage! The Empire State Trail is a 5 minute walk away, easy for a walk with the dog or cycling if you bring along your bikes. Our stay at John’s cottage was very relaxing and just what we needed!

A wonderful pet- friendly rental! We drove from NC to stay on the lake and were very happy with this cute little cottage. Comfortable inside with great views outside. Overall a great space for entertaining family and friends or just chilling out for a bit. And our lab enjoyed herself too!

Beautiful Spot on Kinderhook

Rented to visit my niece for a long weekend visit and avoid hotels. My niece and her Mom ended up day tripping to Kinderhook and they loved the location, the property, and getting out on the lake with paddleboards and kayaks. Very nice quiet area. Along with the lake, we enjoyed taking walks on the nearby trail that goes by horse farms. Overall great trip. John was a great host and answered any questions we had.

Relaxing Escape to Kinderhook Lake

Our stay at Kinderhook Lake was the escape from the City that my family needed. The house and property were refreshingly comfortable and clean. The surrounding area could not be beat for a safe, quiet, and picturesque stay. John made sure that the check-in and out processes were simple and seamless. He was communicative and a true pleasure to speak with. We won't hesitate to stay here again, and to recommend the same to friends and family.

Wonderful lake house

We really enjoyed our stay on Kinderhook lake. We kayaked and swam in the lake, my relatives came over for a BBQ and the kids fished off the dock. My dogs were comfortable and safe there which I always appreciate. It was very comfortable and we will definitely stay there again! Our host was very nice and helpful although we didn't have any issues he still made sure we were ok and knew how to get into the place and get everything turned on.

Lake Life

Gorgeous view from morning til night! We stayed here to be near RPI for our daughter's graduation, so we knew we'd be busy and not able to enjoy the area. Yet, being right on the lake was so relaxing and inviting. We loved it more than we expected. John was accommodating and gracious. The house was ready for us, and even though we arrived later than planned, that wasn't a problem. If you're looking for a relaxing, peaceful getaway, I would recommend staying here!

Spectacular sunsets

This is a cute house, right on the water. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. Friendly neighborhood and dogs included. Our stay was perfect and bonus having the rail trail right there where you could walk and see the horse farms. Sunsets amazing and we even got pictures of Elon Musk’s satellite our last night there. John couldn’t be a nicer guy, so accommodating. Looking forward to planning another trip or two next year. Highly recommend it!!! Thank you John!!!

Perfect Vacation spot!

Nice cottage on the lake - excellent location

Had a nice three night stay at this cottage on the lake Host communicated well, and we enjoyed our stay Pet friendly location right on the water of Kinderhook lake, can walk from the grass into the lake and the lake is about 4 feet deep out about 100 feet. Some rocks near the shore, bring water shoes.
