« I stayed at the Renaissance in Mobile for a girls’ trip and really enjoyed my stay. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. We had a river view room where we could see the Amtrak train and the cruise ship, which made the view even better. I also liked the added security of needing a key card to access the floors. « This was a horrible experience. Booked a two night stay in a non-smoking double bed room because I had two children with me. Upon arrival I was told my reservation was changed to a smoking queen bedroom, I accepted due to it being late at night. The room was DISGUSTING with stained sheets and it REEKED. « I’ve traveled a lot in my life, and rarely leave bad reviews, but this hotel was awful. I do not recommend staying here. The building looked like it was slapped together in a rush. The floors were uneven all over, it made me feel very disoriented. The walls have cracks all over. « We booked two rooms at this hotel through Expedia and when we showed up to the property, and went to our rooms, they were very dirty. There were stains on the bed, debris on the carpet and damage to the furniture. We were not comfortable staying there and left. We booked at a different hotel and stayed there. We contacted Expedia for a refund (we took video of the room) and have not heard back. They said that the manager of the hotel was not there. »
