'Vriendelijk personeel, er werd echter niet mee gelopen om de kamers te wijzen. We hadden twee kamers, duidelijk verschil.

'Stayed for 1 night with family during trip to Bristol. May stay again, will just avoid having dinner there. Positives: Staff really nice, friendly and helpful. Great buffet breakfast, varied selection - cooked breakfast, pastries, cereals, fruits, yogurts, pancakes ("make your own pancakes" machine was entertaining!). Swimming pool good size for a hotel, well maintained and water pleasantly warm. Good location, close to local attractions and easy drive to central Bristol. Main negative -...

'Really nice property in quiet location. Food was great'

'Room not aging well. Stained carpet. Bed linen clean. Towels clean. Shower ok.'

'The carpets could be cleaned in lobby /bar or new'

'Lovely room. Nice breakfast.'

'Prachtige restauratie van een tudor kasteel. Luxe schoonheid en service gecombineerd! '

'Fabulous hotel in a beautiful setting and grounds. A little on the pricey side but worth it to mark or celebrate a special occasion. A good base from which to go out exploring, or to take in a round of golf right there on the doorstep. Would recommend and indeed return.'

'I was in a single room, basic but clean. The hotel does need a refresh, and that is planned for next year. There is a gym guests can use, and spa treatments are also available (payable) in the Serenity Suite, a separate business on site. Staff were welcoming and very helpful.'

'Due to age of building plus isolation it had some unique qualities but the staff were all lovely and the stay was enjoyable.'
