'The hotel was so comfortable, welcoming and had all the desired amenities. We used the sauna which was really lovely addition to our stay and enjoyed the hotel shop too. It was in a peaceful area and the staff were always on hand to answer any questions and offer refreshments. We had seen a couple of negative reviews for this property prior to staying but our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Looking forward to returning in the future.'

'This is the perfect place for an authentic Japanese experience. The staff are wonderful and the meals are superb. Tranquil surroundings with a 5 star multi-course meals each day for breakfast and dinner. The sauna and hot baths were great for winding down after a day of touring. Touring was easy because bus lines and train lines are nearby. We were sorry to leave the Tea House and really hope to return some day. '

'Beautiful hotel in a great and quite location of Kyoto. Upon arrival our forwarded luggage was waiting for us on our well appointed executive room, it was big enough for our family of three.Very comfortable beds, spacious bathroom, and the most gorgeous view to the mountains. Walking distance to Gion and so many temples. Service at the hotel is top notch. And the shuttle bus to/from the station is a great addition. Could not have stayed in a better place than this. We will certainly recommend...

We booked breakfast but not dinner as we wanted to explore the local areas as well. Breakfast was a traditional Japanese breakfast and as I asked in advance for a vegetarian version they accommodated extremely well and we thoroughly enjoyed a hearty breakfast. 'The hotel it's small but super clean and well done. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom huge. The only thing is that is on a quiet neighborhood so it's like 20 minute walk to the canal and Nishiki market but still centric enough. Also, the futon sounds like a good idea until the second night and your hips are dying...just saying. It's not as easy as you think if you are 35 or older...'
