Villa Paola is a magical place. When you arrive there is a private and easily accessible parking area adjacent to the property. Then you enter and you are afforded a private tour of the incredible property. Thank you Anna! Our room was spectacular. A room complete with a sauna, a private lounge area and an incredible bedroom. Then we experienced arguably the most incredible dining experience of our lives. Grazie Mille Luca, Maria and the entire De’ Minimi Restaurant Team. An evening we will never forget. The next morning we were treated to a spectacular breakfast in our room. Sadly we had to depart however the team was there to say goodbye and offer additional gifts. Then before we officially departed we spent time in the church connected to the property which represents a unique and special history. I have never been so emotional leaving a property. Villa Paola offers an experience that is beyond comparison...it touches your heart and soul. We are already planning our return.

We regret only stayed here for a day! Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an amazing location with spectacular views! Breakfast is great and they even grow their own vegetables here! One of my best ever hotel experiences!

Staff was very warm and friendly . Property was very unique and clearly the best in the area. For such a small property the restaurant offered very good evening meals. We would stay again.

Top Hotel in Top Umgebung! Alles war perfekt, sieht man davon ab, dass das Hotel keine Strandlage hat, das Schwimmen im Meer also mit Umständen verbunden ist!

Villa Paola is a very special place. Everything is first class, the staff, the food, the sheets, the pool, the grounds, gardens. Totally fabulous. Loved Villa Paola
Absolutely loved villa Paola. The grounds are incredible and the service is top notch. I enjoyed being a little out of town, short 20 min walk, however they could really step it up by adding an on-demand shuttle service from the hotel into town. Taxis are pricey at 15 euro each way for such a short distance and they were unreliable when we would call for them from the hotel. The hotel only has 12 rooms, a shuttle service for such few guests shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. Otherwise, would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Stunning location on a hill overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea with the walled city of Tropea a mile in the distance. Beautiful property, with many plants and flowers. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, as were the common areas. Breakfast (which was quite good) on the terrace overlooking the sea was a delight. The staff, especially Katia, was warm and efficient. A true 5-star property. Would return any time.

A Beautiful Retreat
This was booked for our honeymoon and was the perfect destination. It's a lovely converted convent on the side of the mountain overlooking the local farm and seaside port. Beaches are a 15 min walk away. The food was great, the staff were lovely and as there was only 11 rooms it was a very tranquil and romantic location. Tropea is 15 min walk or 5 min by car or taxi. I would like to extend my thanks to all at the Villa - every aspect was 5 stars!!

Was für ein aussergewöhnliches Ambiente! Wohnen in einem ehemaligen Kloster (die angebundene Kirche ist noch voll in Betrieb), Wandeln in den ehemaligen Klostergängen, Blick aus Hanglage auf das Meer und die unweit auf dem Felsen thronende Altstadt von Tropea, ausreichend Parkplätze (eine Rarität im Umfeld süditalienischer Stadt-Hotels), freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service - eigentlich doch alles top. Aber es ist wie immer, wenn man in ein 5-Sterne-Haus kommt. Man hat hohe Erwartungen und misst die Qualität mit anderen 5*-Hotels rund um die Welt. Und da kann die Villa Paola leider nicht ganz mithalten, weil halt doch hier und da der letzte Funken fehlt. Warum bleiben zum Beispiel die besten Zimmer mit Blick aufs Meer in Privatbesitz und damit den Gästen verwehrt? Auch wenn sich jeder bemüht, fehlt bei den Abläufen und dem Service der letzte Tick, der Top-Hotels ausmacht. Alles entspricht eher einem hochwertigen Boutique-Hotel, das aber auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert ist.

Very nice and comfortable hotel.
This hotel is beautiful, the rooms clean, amd spacious, the pics doesn’t show how beautiful the hotel is. The lobby is like an old house but well decorated and modern. The staff is incredible, ready to help and friendly. There’s no restaurant, but the menu for the room service and breakfast is good. The pool has a great view and the town is walking distance.

Beatiful hotel
The facilities were really fantastic. Very stylish hotel with a very romantic atmosphere. The only downsides were that the staff did not speak any English and that there were virtually no English tv channels, which is something very common among smaller hotels. Other than that, amazing hotel, and would definitely recommnend it.
