'The owner took us to the airport at no charge at 6:00 AM. The owner changed our room when aircon leaked. Huge effort was made on cleanliness & service. Rooms were large as were beds. The hotel was booked for airport convenience and it meets that. Rooms had external doors & wall which I didn’t like as the country has a poor safety reputation. There was a restaurant on site which was good as we mightn’t have had a meal otherwise as walking at night isn’t recommended & we were on a very short trip...

'The swimming pool is still not finished after opening (5 years). Rooms are not international standard. Showers are great, WIFI as well. Management is very inflexible. if you arrive at 1 pm and the room is free you official should wait till 3 pm. Water is only given 1 time although you stay longer than 1 night. Mattresses getting old as there is in some rooms a hole. Only reason to stay is the airport as the shuttle is excellent compare to Holiday in Express. '

'We stayed here for Carnival week and arrived Thursday and did not receive any house keeping until we checked out a week later. Room was cheap for Carnival but understandably so. Front desk staff and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Felt safe in location but it isn't a walkable area and need to get transportation to anywhere in Port of Spain. No phone in room. No safe, which is essential. Bathroom very dated with bathtub painted with latex white paint so was peeling off during showers....
