Was a help yourself atmosphere, but we had the apartment with it's own kitchen. Even though there was no official office it was easy to navigate about the property.
This was a nice, clean apartment, within a short drive to Acadia N.P. It is right on Route 3 and close to the local airport, but the noise was not bad. There's a nice bakery right across the street for good breakfast treats.
The place was very clean, quiet, had all the comfy of home. The only thing I didn't like was the shower curtain. It let water all over floor. Otherwise I would come again and tell people about, they would enjoy their stay.
We were in the area to visit Acadia National Park and were looking to stay in a quieter area. Ohana Inn allowed us easy access to MDI without the crowds. We spent 4 nights here, and made 2 treks onto the island. The Bar Harbor area is VERY busy and not for everyone. We enjoyed the ability to explore Acadia without all the people. The apartment is cute and quaint. It was big enough for our family of 3. The Inn as a whole was a very welcoming environment. We had easy access to a large fire pit, living areas in the main house and outdoor activities, all while having the privacy we wanted. This unit has easy access to the hot tub on the back side of the main house without needing to even go outside. The owners provided all necessary contact info in the event of issues, which we did not have.
From the very first communication we felt welcomed and appreciated. The stay only got better from there. Walking into our cozy apartment felt like we were walking into a relatives house just waiting for a familiar loved one to walk around the corner.
I cannot recommend this place enough for people who like to feel at home. We will only stay here for all future trips to this part of the country.
