'The Rocks is a hidden gem, a plethora of flowering and fruiting plants, whimsical touches, a glow worm grotto and very engaging staff. If anything wasn't in your chalet, there was a common cooking and laundry area. Not only did we use some things, we shared some of our extras. So much better then thowing some things in the rubbish!'

Still we would not choose to stay here again, because the couple who manage the place showed very little flexibility and sense of service when they denied our request (that we put in after one day) to cut our stay at the hotel short from four to three nights. 'There is no such building called the Picton waterfront apartments. The building is actually called the Oxley rock Apartments. There is nice signage or any indication anywhere that we are at the Picton waterfront apartments. This created total confusion and frustration whilst we walk outside in heavy rain with our luggage paper in hand trying to figure it out. Very poor experience. Phone calls and email went unanswered. Apparently, we were supposed to be sent an email explaining how to check...

There was plenty of activities to do, it is well-equipped - we enjoyed the paddle boarding, but the room was much more dated than the website photos appeared and we had mixed experience with the staff - a few seemed reluctant to interact. You only have one choice of restaurant but the food was really good - dinner and breakfast'
