Log cabin with jacuzzi and Gaustatoppen views

This log cabin was built in 2018 and is located 900 meters above sea level. It was originally built for a large family, and you’ll notice how spacious it is the moment you walk in. With room for many guests and a kitchen that serves as the heart of the home, this cabin is designed for shared meals and mountain activities.



The kitchen is the cabin’s favorite room—this is where meals are prepared in large quantities, and there’s plenty of room for everyone around the table. The living room features floor-to-ceiling windows and an open fireplace that warms the room. The cabin has several bedrooms and bathrooms, providing ample space for a larger group. You’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay.



Outside, a terrace awaits with views of Gaustadtoppen and the surrounding mountains. In the summer, the heather-covered hills around the cabin bloom in shades of purple. On the terrace, you’ll also find a hot tub and a fire pit—great spots to gather after a day out in the mountains.



Right behind the cabin rises Mount Nybu, and the hike to the summit takes about an hour. From there, you can see Gaustadtoppen and Hardangervidda. There are hiking trails and ski trails right outside the door, and you can choose between the forest and the high mountains. Gausta Ski Center is about a 45-minute drive away. Røyslandsbergo, with its swimming spots, is about 25 minutes away, toward Atrå.
