Suzanne is a terrific host and has a beautiful home with an amazing fairy garden. We will come back here again on our next visit to Thunder Bay. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. I highly recommend this VRBO option. It has everything you need to make it feel like home.

Cute apartment, kind and generous host

First time staying at a property with the owner on site, so we didn't know what to expect. Suzanne was very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed to feel comfortable. Apartment was cute and very well stocked. We cooked several meals there and had everything we needed at our fingertips. Only critique would be the size of the bathroom and that it is outside the apartment across the hall. That cannot be changed because of the floor plan, so be aware it's a tight squeeze (toilet to shower) depending on your body size or if you're tall.Suzanne was generous with providing some snacks for us, as well as a cereal bar and milk, and she even offered some of her home grown lettuce to make a salad when we were grilling steaks one evening. We didn't utilize the pool, but it looked clean and refreshing. Back yard is beautiful and we would have spent time there if the weather was better or we were there longer. Would definitely recommend this property for couples wanting to get away for a bit.

Home away from home

Our stay at Creekside retreat was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, thoughtfully prepared, and so welcoming. The space was even better than the photos—beautifully decorated, super comfortable, and had everything we needed (and more!). You can really tell how much love and pride Suzanne puts into making this place special. Every little detail was taken care of, and the communication was seamless throughout. It felt like a true home away from home. We didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and memorable stay. We’ll definitely be back! Great place with great owner!!

My wife and i stayed for a weekend kinda last minute. The owner was super accomodating and waited until 1030 pm for us to check in on friday. Lots of extras!! Drinks and snacks, bottle of wine, even a bowl of amazing french onion soup. The accomodations were cute, nice, and very clean.The garden/ yard were pretty nice too! If we are ever back in Thunder Bay we will definately stay here again!

Beautiful outside garden and beautiful inside. Very, very clean with all the necessities that you would need plus some extra goodies and snacks. All the cooking supplies that you would need plus some. We found the place very comfortable and will definitely stay again.

Great place with Amazing Host which is really hard to find . If I can rate out of 10 I will Give 100/10 . It was just like a home far from home , cozy ,spacious and so peaceful. Backyard with the small river is cherry on top. Talking about Host she is incredible and so sweet . If you looking to stay in Thunder Bay must check out this amazing place which you won’t regret. What a Great Place to Stay!

The apartment is very clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. Every appliance or cooking gizmo is provided. There is even a French coffee press! In addition, the hostess provides many common condiments plus a bottle of wine! I even scored homemade brownies! Thanks Suzanne!

Clean and Comfortable

The stay was fantastic. We arrived a bit later for check-in and the process was very quick and easy. Our first impression was how comfortable the room appeared. It was cozy and comfortable. Another key element of the property was how clean everything was in the room. We are observant of the rooms we stay and have had some rooms that may not have been as tidy as expected. This property highly exceeded expectations for being very clean and led to the comfort. Once again, it was very clean.

Fantastic experience.

This was our first time using this method for accommodations, and we *really* couldn’t have asked for a better experience, or a better host. Everything was clean and comfortable; we lacked for nothing. Our host is a local who knows her neighbourhood well, and was able to provide all kinds of tips, tricks, and advice, and always went the extra mile to take care of us, and made sure we felt welcome. The location is safe, quiet, and strategic; no issues getting to all the places we wanted to get to quickly. Her outdoor living space/garden/pool area is amazing, and you can tell she has put a lot of love and sweat equity into it. She should be proud of her effort, and we felt fortunate to be able to take advantage of such a cheerful and peaceful space. We’re hoping for another opportunity to stay here again in the not-too-distant future. Five Stars
