'First off, these are appartments not a regular hotel. There is a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms are spacious with a living area, kitchen, large bedroom and bathroom At the top of the building there is a small fitness room, pool and hottub. Because it's build on a mountain you really have 360 view over Kandy. The staff and manager are all very nice. The manager tried to help us with arranging train tickets and even brought us to the train station (at 5:30am).'

'Hotel Suisse used to be an authentic kolonial style hotel with a very special atmosphere .. but not anymore. It should try to find an investor willing to restore it to its original level. It is/was after all a beautiful piece of historical testimony.'

'Het hotel ligt aan het Kandy meer en aan de ‘temple of the tooth’. Maar de kamers zijn totaal verouderd! Matrassen te dun, meubilair heeft een poets beurt nodig en badkamer is ‘dated’! Het eten is wel verzorgt en de ‘dining room’ heeft kraak nette tafelkleden en servieten! Maar het personeel is niet over vriendelijk! '

'Atiloua on reception always had the most beautiful smile to greet everyone. Everyone was keen to help. The food and juices offered in the restaurant was very good. Interesting and delicious options on menu. No alcohol was sold on site and we went out for cocktails nearby.'

'Fantastic service from the staff. Great room with million dollar views. Most comfortable bed I have slept in Sri Lanka. Beautiful rooftop with great infinity pool overlooking Kandy lake. Very walkable location - to the city in minutes! The only negative is that the hotel could not handle the volume of guests at breakfast. Many dishes were empty and kept empty for ages. The hoppers we ordered took 2 hours to come! This was the day after the Randoli Perahera so is assume they were not equipped...

The building, which has been beautifully restored and appointed, sits in arguably the best location above Kandy and the warm and elegant hospitality was memorable. We cannot recommend more highly! I was shocked to see a negative review in my name which most definitely did not come from me. Beware of hacks. '

'Great place to stay in Kandy! Rooms are clean, comfortable, and shower is great. Staff are true professionals and definitely want you to have a great stay. Hotel is perched atop hill just outside of town. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby and the town is a nice 20 stroll down the hill. Staff hooked us up with a great driver for day trip to Sigiriya. Great place to stay!'

'Accueil très sympa petit déjeuner très très très copieux. Le réceptionniste prashanthan était très sympa et a fait beaucoup d'efforts pour nous parler. Les chambres sont confortables. L'hôtel reçoit malheureusement comme tous les hôtels au Sri Lanka très très peu de monde à cause du COvid'
