The Big Oak Cabin is located a mile from BOTH the Northfork of the White River and Bryant Creek. Norfork lake is only a few miles away, and Bull Shoals Lake is a 45 minute drive. Located near many outfitters, blue ribbon trout areas, put in points for floating, and the Mark Twain National Forest, there is no shortage of things to do or nature to enjoy! Located on a private 8 acres on a quiet county road, the cabin itself features a wrap around porch, vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and exposed beams. There are 3 beds (one in the master bedroom, one in an ajacent bedroom, and a pull out sofa), enough to sleep 6 people comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped to stage an outdoor BBQ or a fine meal featuring a full size fridge, stove and oven, dishes, pot and pans, and utensils. As a bonus there is a laundry closet with a washer and dryer. This Cabin has everything you need!

A cozy cabin with great sunset views, a spacious deck and plenty of peace and quiet. Check-in was simple and quick. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels for the number of people and nights. Big Oak Cabin is within minutes of Pettit's floating outfitters and campground.

Peaceful and conveniently located

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the cabin. There was a surprising amount of wildlife near the cabin, songbirds, deer, rabbits, and an armadillo. Conveniently located for short drives for outdoor activities like hiking and fishing.

AMAZING!!!

If your looking for a secluded getaway in nature this is definitely the place!! The inside of the property is absolutely adorable and has everything you need! So much natural lighting coming in, and the outside!! Ugh! I’d love to live here! Deer sightings about 10 yards from us on the back porch! The hot tub is amazing! If your thinking about it! DO IT!!

Girls Get-a-way!

This cabin is very secluded and quite...just what we were looking for! Easily sleeps 4-6 but could use a couple more seats in the living room. But everything you need is there...to include charcoal for the grill! We encountered a bad storm while visiting and lost power (which also affects the water) so that made things a bit more interesting but we had a great time and would definitely go back! Thank you!

Great place to stay for Ozarks float trip

This place was perfect for what we needed: a nice, clean place to stay for a one-day float trip. There were 4 of us: two adults and two teens. The host was super easy to work with, we even had to shift our stay by a day, and since it was still available, she made the change for us within minutes. The cabin-house had all the supplies we would need: paper towels, trash bags, even baggies and plenty of spices to cook with. Coffee was also provided on a cute little coffee stand. We grilled after a day on the river and warmed up in the very clean hot tub (it rained most of the day on the river). The cabin was very cute and two bedrooms were in the open loft with a nice clean comfortable pull-out couch in living room. I would suggest maybe one more place to sit in living room such as bean bag or comfy side chair. I drank coffee every morning out on the wrap-around porch, enjoying the squirrels birds and rabbits. Check out was very easy as well. We would definitely return if we do another Ozarks float trip.

This cabin is exactly as described. Completely in the country with porches, shade trees, fire pit, dirt roads, sunsets, and STARS! Seriously, the stars at night are lovely since the area is sparsely populated and the cabin is atop a big hill. It’s wonderfully located with something interesting in every direction. We floated the North Fork and the Bryant (good fishing here by the way). We swam in the Bryant at Warren access just down the dirt road. We hiked to Blue Spring at Hammond access on the North Fork and enjoyed that for a while. We visited Hodgson Mill. We wanted to swim at Dawt but ran out of time. The internet and phone service is unreliable. There is a half bath downstairs and a full bath upstairs with the two loft bedrooms. It’s all open and cute, but not very private. It worked well for our family. You should take your own food to prepare. If you forget something, the Dora Dollar General will likely have it. There’s plenty of bedding, towels, dishes, etc. The owners have done a great job making this cabin a friendly place to stay!
