'A well situated very nice old house with a great host'

'We found the breakfast super healthy and surprisingly filling. Fruit and natural yogurt supplied. The indoor/outdoor shared area we liked very much. You look out towards the base of The Nut and there right before you is a little water fall and pond with gold fish in it. Use of local stone and brick created lots of ambience in a rustic kind of way. My wife and I enjoyed our two night stay very much. Kerry and Alastair have put a lot of time, energy and thought into creating this little oasis....

'Rathmore was everything we had hoped for a tranquil weekend escape. We stayed in the Shearer’s Quarters, separate from the main homestead and very private, with delicious meals delivered by Cally - the lamb ragu was a favourite, highly recommended. Both hosts, Richard and Cally, encouraged us to wander the historic property, which felt a little like stepping back in time to a more peaceful era. We even saw one of the dam’s resident platypus!
