We are back home from vacation today.
We checked out around 2 PM (see photo # 8) in the afternoon on 21 August at the Hilton Hotel City Center in Tangier. We wanted to walk around the city so we used the luggage storage (see photo nr. 5, 6, 7 proof luggage storage). A little after 4 o'clock we picked up the luggage at the hotel, after which we took the boat to Tarifa in Spain. Beyond customs at the port in Tangier we found that the luggage was cut open (see photo 1 and 2 made at the port of Tangier). This was not the case for storage (see photo 3 and 4). We hold hotel Hilton liable for this.
We have a strong suspicion that the luggage has been cut open, because there was a golden lock on that spot. The hotel has scanning equipment at the luggage storage area and we think it looks like a gold block on the monitor.
The above is of course completely unacceptable and this should not happen anywhere. Certainly not at a reputable hotel chain like Hilton where we have paid more than 200 euros for 1 night. We would like to receive a suitable solution from Hilton.
