Fantastic property, and even more fantastic staff. Our family reunion of 10 adults and 6 kids loved the pool slide and jumping down into the pool even more. Romi (concierge), Yvette (housemother), Bridget (cleaning), and Danny (outside maintenance) were what made a 5 star house into a 6 star experience.

Magical week in Tamarindo. Yvette (sp?) was wonderful with amazing breakfasts (including a special birthday breakfast one day for our twins). Highlight for the kids was definitely the pool. They must have spent 12 hours a day in it. Definitely recommend splurging on a chef for dinner a few nights. Beautiful being able to celebrate our parent’s 50th anniversary with all 20 of us around the same table.

"Best Vacation Ever"

For our family (all adults), Villa Sozo and Tamarindo CR well exceeded our expectations. Everyone said that it was our "best vacation ever!" Before our trip, we had very useful communication and planning with Five Star Tamarindo, property manager. The team welcomed us on arrival - entry to the home is breathtaking. We were treated with refreshing food and drink before our tour of the home. We picked this home because of extensive common space for our family to enjoy each other, and we were NOT disappointed! Romi, Yvette, Deivy took care of us all week long including organizing our experiences, making amazing breakfasts, beach set up, and taking care of the facilities too! So friendly and helpful in every aspect of our stay and experience. Thank you to the team and hope to return again!

Fabulous experience

The house is absolutely gorgeous. Each room is beautifully appointed the spaces are really wonderful. The staff if possible is even more amazing. Each morning we had an absolutely wonderful breakfast and lovely service during the day. Romi, the Concierge couldn’t be more wonderful. I highly recommend this house.

Such an amazing home and team. We had a large group of 4 families. Everything was perfect, excellent communication and coordination of arrival, excursions, and activities. The staff was incredible and excellent breakfast was provided daily. We would love to return. I didn’t think it was possible for the house to be better in person than the pictures, it was!

Amazing Time!

Romi and the staff took care of our group of 19 wonderfully! Romi was super easy to work with and was always available via text. Stunning villa with an amazing staff

Our stay at the Luxury Ocean view Villa w/ private pool, water slide and resort style service with noting short of amazing!! The villa was breathtaking, incredibly spacious and very pristine. The villa was equipped with everything we needed. It had an amazing resort style pool, gym, game room and a chef! the pictures do not do this place justice and I would definitely recommend this villa to any large group looking for luxury.

Quintessential Beach house!!

Most beautiful house with amazing views. Everything was so well thought out in the design. One bedroom was more beautiful than the other and private from every other bedroom . Each bathroom was spectacular. The main living area offered an amazing open air inside to outside dining and relaxing environment. The kids had hours of entertainment in the stunning pool with the slide. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Epic Vacation

Our stay at Villa Sozo was nothing short of phenomenal. We were a group of 23 people - 10 adults and 13 children (5-13). The house itself is the perfect blend of enough space to gather together and space for quiet time. The sunset viewing from the upper pool deck and seating area (where we spent the most of our time) surprised and amazed us. The pool itself was one of the biggest features of the house - pool deck jumps, the window and the slide kept the kids and adults entertained for hours. While we used the golf carts - the walk to town was a little steep but very manageable (5 - 10 min walk) to beach and town. We enjoyed the beach, hired a chef for a number of meals, booked excursions through Five Star (who were available any time we needed them). Five Star concierges helped make our time memorable and easy to manage a group of 23! As we think about making this an annual event for our crew of five families - we are not sure we will ever find a house as perfect as this one. Great breakfast by Yvette the House Mom, plenty of ice and gathering areas, beautiful bedrooms, impeccable kitchen and a phenomenal staff. We created many memories on this trip to Costa Rica and anyone staying at Villa Sozo will not be disappointed.

Unbelievable house and great location!

We had an amazing stay. Everything was just perfect. The house staff helped with all of our needs, daily breakfast was plentiful, varied, and delicious. Each bedroom was gorgeous and comfortable. All of the bathrooms were spotless and luxurious. The views from the covered patio and pool were great. Our kids played in the pool all day! The slide and viewing window to the basement were a huge hit. We went into town and to the beach daily. It was a short walk (but steep hill) or an easy golf cart ride. We can't say enough about how perfect this vacation was. What a trip!

A Perfect Vacation Experience

We had a wonderful vacation at Villa Sozo in Tamarindo. We were a family of 12 people ranging in ages from 93 to 3 months and the house was the perfect setting. It is beyond spectacular in every way. It is huge and extremely well-equipped including beach toys and a 6-passenger golf cart. Every morning we enjoyed a beautiful extravagant breakfast by Yevette and the house was kept spotless by Daisy. Both of them enabled us to just enjoy the house and our family. The highlight of the house is the pool and outdoor space which we enjoyed all day long. The bedrooms are beautiful, quiet and private. Having a master suite on the main floor was key for my elderly parents as there are a lot of steps in the house. The road to the beach and the center of town is dirt and a little steep in one section, but we easily got around town in the golf carts, (we rented a second one for the week) and felt safe driving with the kids in them as well. There is an incredible saltwater fish tank which our grandchildren spent hours watching and we spent time jumping in the pool and watching each other from the window into the pool. The staff at Five Star Rentals were very responsive and we planned a few family outings with their suggestions. A highlight was the morning on a catamaran where we saw dolphins, turtles and enjoyed the spectacular scenery. This house and Tamarindo were beyond our expectations for a wonderful fun filled family vacation and we hope to be back some day. Thank you Villa Sozo and Five Star Rental

Beyond Our Wildest Expectations

We knew this home was special but even the pictures understated how amazingly gorgeous it was, down to the last detail. In fact, we were having fun trying to find something wrong with it. Spectacular is an understatement. And the Five Star Rental hosts could simply not have been more exceptional on every level. This was our 4th VRBO hosted rental in the last several years and while all have been great, none compared to Villa Sozo. Then again, none had 8 BRs, 9 1/2 Baths, an amazing pool set-up, and view of the Pacific Ocean sunsets. So, it had a big advantage going in, which in no way disappointed.

AMAZING Property!

The house is everything you want in a vacation home. WE had 8 couples and everyone had plenty of space and privacy. The pool is huge for a vacation property and the upper level jacuzzi and sitting area was great. The out door space was phenomenal! The house had everything you could want and need, and the staff was exceptional. We were especially grateful for multiple ice makers! The daily communication with Natalia via text was so helpful. The included golf cart was awesome to use to get groceries and drinks for the house. Town is a super easy walk from the house. The town was bigger and offered more than we expected! We absolutely will be back to Tamarindo and this property!

Villa Sozo is truly a DREAM HOUSE

Villa Sozo is an awesome vacation Villa for large families or groups. The home itself is spacious and clean with immaculate details creating an inviting feeling. Every room is finished superbly. Every bedroom is large and equipped with the most plush and comfortable bedding. All in-suite closets and bathrooms are large with double sinks and adequate space for clothes, personal belongings and toiletries. Each shower has an overhead “rain” shower and a powerful hand-held shower head. The kitchen is huge with lots of counter space and every appliance is available. The dining room and table look out over the pool area and Pacific Ocean. The downstairs recreation room has a treadmill, free-weights, ping pong and foosball as well as a TV room. The housekeepers Kiani and others are there 8 hours a day and do a tremendous job with keeping the entire house clean and providing fresh bedding and towels every day. The outdoor grounds and pool area are large and well-kept by Davey, who also does a fantastic job. In fact, Five Star Tamarindo has done a fantastic job with every aspect of the house. Ana and Natalia are FIVE STARS themselves. I would highly recommend this place and look forward to returning very soon! Thanks for making this vacation truly special.

Gorgeous house

The house was incredibly beautiful to say the least. However, as new as the house was, we experienced a lot of “glitches” such as no hot water a couple nights, the lights went out on the game room floor. The check in process can also seem a bit lengthy, especially when you walk into the house and you’re ready to start your vaca right away. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would def stay here again

Beautiful Vacation Home

When we found this home through VRBO, we were so impressed we could not book anywhere else. When we arrived at the home, the pictures on-line did not do it any justice. The bedrooms, the kitchen, the living room - everything was perfect. Our family had a hard time leaving the pool and the spa. The kids (and adults) had endless hours of fun on the pool slide. There is a fire pit where we made s'mores. The 7 days we were at the house was just not enough. No one wanted to leave. Mario, Natalia, Anna, Maria and the rest of Five Star Tamarindo team were so helpful. They helped us with reservations, directions and anything else we needed. They were always on stand-by for whatever came up. Thank you Five Star and thank you VRBO. Our whole family of 15 highly recommends this property. Vickie Faber

An incredible property especially for a large family

This is an incredible property especially for a large family. The house is beautiful, large, well spaced, has a fantastic outside pool area with a great view and has a ton of amenities. We went to Tamarindo with 18 from ages 6 to 70 and everyone was able to enjoy the house. It was 4 families and everyone felt like they had their own space. The house staff was beyond helpful for everything from the house amenities to helping arrange transportation and tours. The included golf cart was a fantastic bonus.

Most amazing house

This house was perfect. From the check in staff to the quality of all the house. 2 mins in the fab golf cart to the town. Everything was clean and easy. We also found an amazing chef who was the icing on the cake. It’s huge it’s stunning and made a perfect place for family and friends to have so much fun
