'Het hotel is wat gedateerd, maar de kamer was keurig netjes en heel belangrijk: we hadden een HEERLIJK bed. De kamers zijn verschrikkelijk gehorig, maar dat komt waarschijnlijk omdat het hotel wat gedateerd is. Er is niets om je aan vast te houden als je het bad in- en uit stapt om te douchen. Voor ouderen kan dit zeer zeker een probleem zijn.'

'Lovely hotel, utterly delightful rooms! Yes the curtians need replacing as other people have said, but it's almost in keeping with a 600 year old building. Food was OK but not special. Tutbury is pleasant and the castle is worth seeing! All in all a very pleasant stay and will go back.'

'I go away with work most weeks and this has to be up there with one of the best places I have stayed in. Would love to come back in the summer. I’ve now booked up for my third successive week. The kitchen is perfect, plenty of work space and well laid out. Bit of confusion over the microwave until I realised it was built into the oven. Maybe do with a washing machine. Great surroundings and a great place to stay.'

'This was our third time staying at Mackworth House Farm and, as ever, Peter was the perfect host. The room was clean, tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. Check-in process was quick, and Peter was on hand to answer any questions we had. The breakfast options were plentiful, and there was a lovely pub a short distance away for evening meals/drinks. Can highly recommend for those wanting to stay in and around the Peak District.'

'Uitstekend hotel. De mensen achterdeur balie zijn uiterst behulpzaam en deskundig. We hebben een nacht bijgeboekt omdat er zoveel te doen en zien was en het hotel een perfecte uitvalsbasis was. Het restaurant heeft prima eten en ontbijt. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk, maar vergeten regematigd je bestelde drankje te brengen. Soms loop men druk heen en weer, maar er gebeurd weinig. Beter overzicht van bv. een manager. '
