'Lovely hotel, perfect location and extra bonus points for being so good to our dog Merley. Welcoming dog bed, bowl and treats, always make any place we stay extra special. We can't wait to be back. It would be lovely if the hotel had a free on-site parking.'

'The hosts are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Bill extensively explained to me what to see in Stratford, while I enjoyed some excellent home made fruitcake. The room is equipped with kettle, lots of tea bags, instant coffee, instant hot chocolate, and biscuits. Breakfast is fabulous with prizewinning home made jams. All together amazing value for £55 single occupancy. Only downside is the slightly long walk to the town centre.'

'Achtung, wir konnten unser Elektroauto laden, allerdings wurden uns am Ende 0,75£ / kw/h verrechnet! Das ist natürlich viel zu viel für eine Wallbox. Zugegebenermaßen haben wir im Vorfeld nicht nach dem Preis gefragt, wir haben mit so einem Wucher aber auch einfach nicht gerechnet. Daher ein Stern Abzug. Ansonsten eine gemütliche, saubere Unterkunft. Das Zimmer war ruhig in Richtung Garten. Das Frühstück war gut. Das Stadtzentrum ist sehr gut fußläufig erreichbar.'

'Heerlijk hotel op een geweldige locatie! Personeel was vriendelijk plus bij het binnenstappen van de hotelkamer was er een welkomst drankje wat enorm in de smaak viel. Diner was heerlijk evenals het ontbijt!'

'Neat place above the pub. If staying in that section, the stairs are quite narrow to get checked luggage up - but doable. We booked through Expedia and it said no attendant on site - so there was confusion on where to leave our bags and we did not receive a response so we ended up paying Premier Inn to hold our bags. 'Één kamer, de duurdere signature room, was uitstekend. Mooi bad bij slaapgedeelte en aparte, kleine badkamer met douche. Kamer was ruim, mooi ingericht en schoon. Andere kamer van ons gezelschap was mooi, maar had lekkageproblemen en schimmel. Algemeen: bij meerdaags verblijf mogen toiletartikelen worden aangevuld en bed opgemaakt. Mooi oud pand in geweldig stadje.'

'Stopped here for a few nights as we had a wedding to attend. All was good though I am a light sleeper and did have trouble due to a low pitched hum that persisted through the night. As we weren't staying long we didn't ask to move to a quieter room. If you are a light sleeper I would suggest you make it clear when you book that you need somewhere quiet. The food was good and reasonably priced and the bar prices were not as steep as some we have encountered in other hotels.'

'The hotel was ok, no more or no less than that. The pictures on the website were all of the newer bit of the hotel by the looks of it. Our room even said “old” on the invoice I signed. Bed ok, room had good furniture but too much of it so barely room to move. Window to a fire exit that kept banging in the wind. Shower screen might as well have been wire mesh as water leaked everywhere and flooded the bathroom which looked to have been happening for a while looking at the water staining / state...

'The property was warm and welcoming — truly a home away from home. The location was perfect, with everything within easy walking distance. We received a lovely personal welcome, including a thoughtful card and a generous welcome pack with a nice bottle of wine, chocolates, tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits. I would highly recommend this place. A genuinely warm and inviting place to stay. '
