Dear Ronald, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience and we are extremely saddened to read your disappointment. Indeed the establishment has no AC: unfortunately local regulations prevent us from installing one due to some specific particularities of the building. We try to compensate this with our offer of complimentary (cold) water. Our rooms have been refurbished over the last years and whilst increasing the size is not possible, efforts were done to maxime functionality and space optimization through modern furniture adapted to our guests' needs. The single room you booked is indeed small, cozy and on the quiet backside of the hotel: it's one of our guests' favorites. Finally, rest assured that prices are in line (or below) the offer of our competitors in Luxembourg, and furthermore we include complimentary parking, WiFi, digital newspapers and water. Once again, we regret your disappointment and should you visit us again in the future, we'd make our utmost to make you feel comfortable. Kind regards,

Dear Pieter, Thank you for taking the time to highlight your unhappy experience. Whilst we can understand your frustration in regards of the no-show penalty that you have been charged, we would like to settle the situation back into context and give you a proper explanation. The check-in time (from 3:00pm to 22:00pm), so as the booking conditions and general terms of the hotel are clearly indicated on the Online Travel Agency’s page that you used to complete your reservation. You booked the last room that was available in our hotel on that same day and no estimated time of arrival was indicated. The hotel refused several guests throughout the day as all the rooms were booked for the night. By 9:30pm, as we were still expecting your arrival, the reception extended a courtesy call in order to verify your arrival time. The given answer was that you were in Brussels and quite unsure about your arrival time, indicating that most likely you would not arrive before 1:30am. We always demonstrate ourselves quite flexible and the reception team gladly spends an extra hour waiting for a guest that might have been delayed whilst traveling: we do such exceptions with pleasure, considering it not as merely part of the job but as the reason why we work in the hospitality industry. The same opportunity was extended to you on that evening. Nevertheless you must understand that our flexibility has also limits, and that it is impossible to keep an employee working an extra 4 hours overnight to wait only for your arrival. Unfortunately, on such a short notice, the hotel was unable to resell the room that you had booked, resulting in a financial loss for the establishment: hence the no-show penalty. We hope that this might help you to better understand the reason on why you have been charged. Best regards,

Whilst we are happy to read that our team was friendly and supportive and that you enjoyed our comfortable beds, we feel sorry that you faced some inconveniences. We have follow up with the team, but we have no track record that silverfish were reported. Nonetheless we have follow up and taken corrective and preventing measures to free the room from the unwanted visitors. Despite regular pest control and extensive cleaning procedures it can still happen but we are always happy to take any corrective actions right away.In regards of the odor in the hallway, this is unfortunately a general problem in the whole street (so not only limited to the hotel) that occurs when we have a lot of rain. Again, despite some preventing measures in place to prevent this uncomfortable event to occur, we are not able to eliminate it but just to limit it.Should your future travel plans lead you back to Luxembourg, please feel free to contact us in advance, so to make the utmost to provide an immaculate stay.With kind regards,
