'This is one of the nicest rentals we've ever had. It's a lovely, well-furnished house with terrific lake views and an inviting wrap-around porch for relaxing after a long day of hiking. It's a terrific bargain if you want to explore the Bar Harbor area but don't want to pay Bar Harbor rates for lodging. There is no stove/oven, but we were able to cook breakfast and dinner using hot plates/electric frying pans - plus there is a huge outdoor grill. We're planning on coming back with our adult kids...

'The apartment is really great and everything is brand new. But the agency forgot to send check in instructions, we called them and were all set. Be aware to get instructions 2 days before or call them. In VRBO the location was directly on the water, in reality not at all. If you want to stay in this area, the location is great but we drove every day to Acadia park or supermarket about 25-30 minutes. Yes, I would recommend this accommodation and would like to stay here again.'

'Clean and convenient access to everything in Southwest Harbor. Kitchen had everything needed. The guide book was fantastic! Made a point to do several of the recommended hikes and restaurants. Communication was proactive and professional. Everything was as described. Yes, the stairs are steep but that was fully disclosed and manageable. Perfect for my husband and I as we explored Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park.'

'We loved your home! And we loved our hosts! Condo was Very crisp and Clean. Had that brand new smell. Kitchen was organized nicely with all we needed. Perfect amount of space for the two of us. Also, the location was easy to find, and I loved our private little parking spot next to our stairs.
