'Nothing too special, but the rooms are good size and in good condition. Friendly staff. Food was above expectation and better than the usual hotel fare. '

'Het heeft vooral de sfeer van een ‘guesthouse’, omdat het volledig gerund wordt door een uiterst aardig echtpaar, dat je ‘s morgens een prima ontbijt serveert en je op elk gewenst moment te woord zal staan. Heel anders dan een hotel met aardig maar afstandelijk personeel. De Lodge zelf is op leeftijd, dus verwacht geen hypermodern comfort.'

'We had a nice and comfortable stay overall. The venue is lovely, with beautiful views and a great location. The rooms were nice, although a little dated in places. There were just a few things that could have been better. The toiletries were very limited for two people – only one soap, one shower gel and one body lotion. There was also a crack in the shower, and the water was filling up when using the sink, which wasn’t ideal. The spa was lovely, but we were disappointed that we had to pay...

'Heel tevreden over het hotel, de service en de maaltijden. Zeer verzorgt. Vriendelijk personeel. Voor herhaling vatbaar.'

'We had a lovely one-night stay at House 41 while visiting Aylesbury Theatre. The room was spotless, warm and welcoming, making it a lovely place to relax after our evening out. Helen, the owner, was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked, delicious and the perfect start to the day. We couldn’t fault our stay and would highly recommend House 41 to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We would definitely return if we’re in the...

'Aardig personeel, hond vriendelijk, grote kamer, de junior suite voor 3 personen, prima!'

'Lovely warm and cosy room. Very comfortable. Just want you want when planning a trip to the area with the changing seasons. Great location for Downley Hill walks, West Wycombe and Princes Risborough, Aylesbury, Thames and Oxford. Nice helpful and obliging receptionist Narinder and the smiley guy whose name I cannot remember. Thanks, and see you again soon. 😃'

'Het hotel staat letterlijk naast een snelweg dat is al een min. Wat er niet eens bij stond of wat dergelijk. Er waren bed luizen op de slaap bank. Me moeder heeft er helemaal uitslag van. Badkamer was ook heel smerig. Raad dit hotel of wat het dan ook is totaal niet aan!'

'The hotel has everything you need. Tasty food, great personel and a fantastic old-style English building!'

'Lovely B&B would have been nice to have Breakfast included in the room rate. Room lovely, comfy bed a great pillows. Lovely Roast. We will definitely return !'

'Decent hotel in need of more maintenance. Airconditioning broke after day 1 (of 3), resulting in a room temperature of 27 C. Not an isolated issue, as the second airconditioning unit in the family room also broke. Did not get fixed during our stay, got some fans instead. Breakfast is mixed, fresh fruit is nice, but ingredient quality of hot food, pastries, bread is pretty low. Personnel is general friendly and check in was particularly smooth and friendly.'
