Ancient home in the heart of Salento

Originally I was a small convent dating back to 1758: from the time I was built remains an ancient engraving on the main entrance.
Later I became a "court house", a typical Salento dwelling given to farm workers by landowners.. Today they are a charming residence with 8 apartments located in the historic center of Spongano within walking distance of bars, restaurants, shops and other services.
Over time I became an ideal place to experience the atmosphere of other times that made Salento a magical land and the right starting point, in a strategic position, to discover reality, flavors, habits, scents, atmospheres.

Carmelina Guest House consists of large living room with equipped kitchen, double bedroom and bedroom with two single beds. Each room is embellished with stone vaults and floor with Salento cyanous.
The interior decor, with Salento references, will allow you to live an authentic holiday in tranquility and privacy, enjoying moments of relaxation and pleasure by the pool after a day at the beach or in the shade of the Mediterranean garden.

The apartment is located a few meters from the central square of the village where you can find a typical trattoria, bar for breakfast and aperitif, artisan ovens and bakeries, bank, pizzerias to take away, tobacconists, greengrocers, supermarkets, pharmacy: all services within walking distance.

A few minutes from the apartment the naturalistic area "Le more" allows relaxing walks at sunset between olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation.

Spongano is a strategic starting point to discover Salento without endless kilometers by car: a few minutes from the crystal clear water of Castro (the pearl of Salento) and the beautiful cliffs of the Adriatic, about 20 minutes from the beaches of Otranto, 30 minutes from Lecce.
