'Nice room clean comfortable and tastefully decorated.. good hot shower ! It was a little cold in the early mornings - didn’t mange to work out the heating arrangements. Chimney breast in Chatsworth showing water ingress - we understand from the owner that this was being dealt with .. Cafes not really close enough to walk to for breakfast. It would be good if the dining room had a toaster and microwave so that it would be easy to make your own . Overall a good place to stay for visiting family...

'Arrived on Sunday evening. Had been held up at an engagement but had a table booked during my journey for 20.45. Arrived at the pub/reception at 20.53 (booking line stated I had a 15 minute grace period). Told rather rudely that the kitchen had closed ages ago. I pointed out that I'd booked a table for 20.45 to which the reply was 'well it's now 20.53'. I stated that the booking said there was a 15 minute grace period and I had been stuck in traffic during my 2 hours drive, so couldn't help...

'Good hotel, good location, although all the outside restaurants are a 15 minute walk away. Had dinner twice at the hotel restaurant, which was good. Parking is in a public parking place 5 minutes away; hotel guests pay half the normal price: 8 GBP a day. Nice and helpful staff. Room was not very large but OK although the airco caused an unpleasant draught and had to be switched off when I was in the room. My main gripe is the wifi connection in the room which runs (if it runs at all) at 0.16...

'Very basic breakfast, convenient location, good when you need to stay somewhere just to sleep.'

'zeer aangenaam. rustige omgeving, veel ruimte, veel groen.'

'Salt suite was geweldig. Ziet er heel mooi uit! Bad in de main bedroom en sauna in de badkamer.'

'Great beautiful location '

'Good, clean, reliable'

'Comfortabel, schoon slaapkamers. Vriendelijk en bekwaam medewerkers. Enige minpunt is dat de hotel bar vroeg dicht gaat, 22:00 zondag t/m vrijdag en 21:00 zaterdag.'

'The hotel is easily reached by bus from either Derby or Nottingham. However, if you plan to do a lot of sightseeing in the area, it's probably best to have your own car. In spite of its proximity to M1, the hotel is set in a quiet and pleasant location. Most of the staff was very kind and helpful: one of them was on the same bus as us when we arrived, and kindly walked us from the bus stop to the hotel. This was especially nice since we arrived late in the evening. Just the receptionist we...

'We hebben verschillende hotels geprobeerd maar komen toch steeds hier weer terug. Het hotel ligt voor ons zeer centraal en makkelijk langs de M1, de service en vriendelijkheid is optimaal, het ontbijt geweldig en mocht er toch iets niet goed zijn wordt het meteen verholpen.'

'Facilities in hotel and room as expected for a hotel. Has a somewhat tired look about the building dreaming of former glory. For some of the staff they gave the impression thast they were in employment but not within the hotel trade.'

'Adorable, unique, peaceful stay with a delicious breakfast. Walking distance to everything in Derby. Would recommend.'

'Clean, comfortable and warm room. Friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of free parking. A generous continental breakfast with the option to upgrade to full English. Evening meal was delicious - a truly homemade chicken and leek pie. They also have an authentic Neapolitan-style pizza oven, so I bet the pizzas are good too. It's not often somewhere exceeds your expectations, but that was my experience at the Littleover Lodge.'
