Plenty of nature hikes at Ferne Clyffe State park, and the Garden of the Gods is worth the short drive. The lake was calm and we enjoyed several kayak trips. We look forward to coming back! « Great cabin; clean, and cozy and private. The hot tub and fire pit were used daily. There are trails on the property. We went to Giant Park which is close; don’t miss the fried chicken at the lodge. We drove about 1.5 hours hike the observation trail at Garden of Gods; well worth the drive! Carbondale is a short drive; great time chilling at cabin !! »
