'Wij hadden een redelijk grote kamer met ‘sea view’. Heerlijk warm in deze tijd van het jaar (december). Direct aan zee met goede verbindingen naar Bournemouth en Christchurch. Zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. Parkeren kan in de zomer een probleem vormen. Zeker aan te bevelen!'

'The place needs a face lift, a room over a pub that looks tired. However the staff are brilliant, so lovely and helpful. The food is good value for money, pub grub. Location is great if you want the beach. If you like a good walk, 3.5mins (1hr 15 mins) to Bournemouth Pier.'

'A very quirky, interesting, historical Hotel a short stroll from all the amenities that Swanage have to offer.
Friendly helpful staff from start to finish, all very knowledgeable regarding the history of the hotel.

'The setting is perfect, overlooking Freshwater Bay, and the hotel has been beautifully restored. Everywhere feels very spacious and comfortable. The staff are lovely and clearly wanted us to have a wonderful experience staying at the hotel. They dealt with my irritating dietary requirements with concern and professionalism and were all friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back.'

'The property was very run down . The facilities were badly looked after, if not non existent. The food was very average. The drinks were extremely overpriced. The hotel was much too expensive for what was on offer. We were expecting a spa hotel, and it definitely wasn’t. Very disappointed.'

'There are not many places to stay in Wimborne. This is probably the best. Don’t expect elevators or lots of modern conveniences here. This is a 16th century hotel with narrow staircases and our room had beamed ceilings and a copper bathtub. What is great is that it is right in the won center and has enough free and secure parking so you don’t need to use a public carpark.'
