'We took a bad start as the property was without electricity when we arrived (a problem of the whole area) but after that was solved, everything in our stay was perfect; The host gives us friendly service of breakfast and the restaurant was FABULOUS, with nice wines and excellent food. I had lobster and enjoyed every bit of it. The garden is pleasant to sit in with a good beer, they have several good beers on tap. I would stay again.'

'A beautiful hotel in an incredible location, with lovely spa facilities that are worth a visit. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. That said, for a hotel of this calibre, we did notice a few areas where the experience fell short of expectations. Small touches — like having the tea tray refreshed without needing to ask — are the kind of details that elevate a stay, and we found ourselves having to prompt for these. 'Nou ik vond het spannend om boven een pub te slapen. Maar dit was echt niet nodig. Wat een super mooie kamer. Heel erg schoon en netjes. Modern ingericht. Vriendelijk ontvangst. Je hebt geen geluidsoverlast. In de ochtend een heerlijk ontbijt, je mag zelf kiezen wat je wilt. Ik zou hier zeker aan tafen om te verblijven.'

'The property was very well maintained and equipped. Beautifully decorated and lovely enclosed outdoor area for our dog to play. The only downside was that the water flow was pretty inconsistent and it was very hot weather so a bigger fan would’ve been great as it gets very hot. Other than that, it was a lovely stay.'

'Beautiful location for this really special place to stay. We had two night here. Although we didn’t have great weather, it hardly altered as the hotel has lots of cosy places to sit and look out on the truly stunning gardens. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Thank you to whoever found my husbands watch and called us so we were not too far away to come back for it! Another highlight is the hotel’s own soap products which smell amazing and are available to buy. Sadly they had run out...

'Supergezellige cottage midden in een mooi dorpje vlakbij de zee in een mooie streek. Heerlijk ontbijt met zeer vriendelijke service. Ook dineren in het bijhorende restaurant was prima. Absolute aanrader!'

'We were staying as a family of four adults. The location was in a quiet area overlooking the sea in the distance. The accommodation was very specious, clean and well equipped. One bedroom had a small en suite shower and toilet. There was also a bath with overhead shower and toilet in a separate room. We used the apartment as a base, exploring the nearby beaches and villages. The owner had thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable. The only downside was the noise from the two adults...

'Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.'

'A good place to stay. Clean room, pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast tasty with a good choice. Sea view from our room. Needs a lick of paint here and there and some carpets in corridors a bit threadbare. And no lift though staff assisted with our suitcase.'

'The room was clean and the staff were very helpful. We stayed in the disabled access room which was very good. The only thing we would say is the the toilet is very low for a disabled person, even with the grab bars. '
