'Mijn vriend en ik verbleven hier omdat super veel hotels en bed and breakfasts in Cornwall waren volgeboekt. Achteraf een top keuze geweest. Het hotel ligt op een mooie locatie, een rustig dorpje, en heeft een goede sfeer. Wij waren een hapje gaan eten in Porthleven maar het had ook in het hotel zelf gekund. De medewerkers zijn super aardig en de kamer zag er schoon uit, maar was wel aan de kleine kant. Breakfast was heel goed! Zeker een aanrader.'

'A beautiful hotel in an incredible location, with lovely spa facilities that are worth a visit. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. That said, for a hotel of this calibre, we did notice a few areas where the experience fell short of expectations. Small touches — like having the tea tray refreshed without needing to ask — are the kind of details that elevate a stay, and we found ourselves having to prompt for these. Breakfast was enjoyable, though it’s worth being aware of...

'The room was large and well appointed. The amenities looked new and fresh. The restaurant provided a good variety at a reasonable cost. Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking was easy and close.'

'Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.'

'We were staying as a family of four adults. The location was in a quiet area overlooking the sea in the distance. The accommodation was very specious, clean and well equipped. One bedroom had a small en suite shower and toilet. There was also a bath with overhead shower and toilet in a separate room. We used the apartment as a base, exploring the nearby beaches and villages. The owner had thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable. The only downside was the noise from the two adults...

'Beautiful location for this really special place to stay. We had two night here. Although we didn’t have great weather, it hardly altered as the hotel has lots of cosy places to sit and look out on the truly stunning gardens. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Thank you to whoever found my husbands watch and called us so we were not too far away to come back for it! Another highlight is the hotel’s own soap products which smell amazing and are available to buy. Sadly they had run out...

'Supergezellige cottage midden in een mooi dorpje vlakbij de zee in een mooie streek. Heerlijk ontbijt met zeer vriendelijke service. Ook dineren in het bijhorende restaurant was prima. Absolute aanrader!'

'Nou ik vond het spannend om boven een pub te slapen. Maar dit was echt niet nodig. Wat een super mooie kamer. Heel erg schoon en netjes. Modern ingericht. Vriendelijk ontvangst. Je hebt geen geluidsoverlast. In de ochtend een heerlijk ontbijt, je mag zelf kiezen wat je wilt. Ik zou hier zeker aan tafen om te verblijven.'

'This is a pub with rooms, so not a hotel. But, wow it is absolutely at the top of the scale for pubs. Room was perfectly clean and had as good a view as you could find anywhere in the world. Location, perfect, parked at the nearby harbour carpark, not overly expensive. Bar staff were great, evening food was great, four real ales on tap, all delicious. Great choice at breakfast and again lovely staff. I would seriously give this accommodation 11 out of 10. 100% recommended.'

'We were given a different room to the one we booked. The room was smelling strongly of air freshener to cover the smell from the drains. There was no hot water in the bathroom. The evening meal was awful and took over 2hrs for 2 courses, the waitress ended up in tears after all the complaints. The receptionist tried her best to sort things out but was fighting a loosing battle. All in all not a good stay, luckily we only stayed one night - never again!!!'

'Goed hotel, mooie ligging, te kleine parl king , maar op straat was her vrij parkeren... Prijs - qualiteit is dit een goed hotel , ontbijt zeer redelijk. avondeten was ook goed, misschien iets te kleine porties..'

'Everything you could need for independent accommodation. Very well equipped kitchen and dining space with comfortable lounge area. Bedrooms and bathroom are a good size and are clean and tidy. The facility of the hot tub is amazing. Also only a 15min drive from Falmouth seafront. Overall, very well worth a stay here. '
