The Octagon at Capricorn



  • Dit is mijn nieuwste eigendom - Net klaar met de eerste gedeeltelijke verbouwing in mei 2018 (van een eindeloos verbeteringsplan) - Eerste week gesloten in maart 2018. Geniet van de Octagon bij Steenbok op South Padre Island.

    Unieke lay-out. Huis met meerdere slaapkamers, 4 verdiepingen en nieuw zwembad. Half blok van het strand. Snelle wifi, garage en meer! Het huis is eigenlijk een achthoek, met woonkamer op de 2e verdieping. Begane grond is de garage en er is een badkamer voor het zwembad!

    De woning is 1/2 blok verwijderd van de toegang tot het openbare strand. Het duurt ongeveer 5 minuten lopen van The Octagon naar de toegang tot het strand.

    Drie slaapkamers bevinden zich op de tweede verdieping en een wenteltrap brengt u naar slaapkamer / zolder # 4 op de 3e verdieping.

    Elke kamer heeft plafondventilatoren en het pand beschikt over centrale AC, 3 flatscreen-tv's en snel internet. Het privézwembad was in mei 2018 klaar.

    Er is een wasmachine en droger gunstig gelegen in de garage. De garage past op de meeste auto's en andere voertuigen met een lager profiel (maximale hoogte is 5 ft 9 inch)

Great spot for families. We have two families - 10 people total - and had plenty of room. The private pool is the cherry on top! And it’s a literal 3-minute walk to the beach.

Nice Accomodations & Great Communication

We had a group that was attending a conference at SPI and this was a great match for us. The accommodations fir our needs, the communication from the host was terrific, and check-in and check out were both smooth. I'd definitely stay here again.

Family Vacay

The place is nice. Close to the beach - walking distance. Swimming pool was clean shower and water hose in the back to rinse off. Plenty of parking for four cars. We enjoyed our time.

Octagon on Capricorn

House was spacious and family enjoyed the convenience to the beach. One down fall was the entrance to the home was up a flight of stairs, was difficult getting coolers and suitcases into the house. But overall a very nice place to rest and explore the Island.

Perfection

My family of 11 + dog had the best time staying here for 8 days. The best location on the island, so close to the beach you don’t need a car. The home was very clean, comfy beds and pillows, bbq pit was easy to use, huge refrigerator, all the kitchen accessories you need, plus full size washer and dryer. The owner was very nice and reassured us if we needed anything he was just a call or text away.

The property was as we expected. Very short walk to the beach.

The only 2 suggestions I have would be to upgrade the bedding, mattresses and mattress pads and add a couple frying pans, casserole dishes and covered storage dishes. To the owners benefit, a garbage disposal would help when doing dishes.

Recommendations

The property was great and the check in was a breeze. He is trying to update more items in time. The house could use a dishwasher, when on vacation dishes are not on the agenda. Showers are small, but are going to be remodeled. Need more cooking utensils and storage containers. Curtains on the windows to block out security lighting and 7 am wakeup call, too early for a vacation. We would reccomend to anyone, and will use again for our family

Celebrating blessings

After 2 years of trying to plan a beach vacation. It finally all came together! Due to an abundance health scares We had been unable to find the time to make it happen. Recently, with the blessings of good health, we celebrated our family at the octagon House on Capricorn. This location was the cherry on top. I also would like to thank Brandon for being so incredibly responsive when I had to call him on a couple of questions. He not only answered the phone but he also provided solutions. I am grateful for the excellent communication he provided. Our family will increase in blessings and will include a future stay to celebrate.

It was just okay

The location is great. Very close to the beach. Bedrooms are nice, yet the AC is working inconsistently in different rooms. The living room and couch areas are sad: very dark, the couch reminded me of a hospital furniture and just in general the living room area was very uninviting and not cozy. The walls were dark too. Overall there was little to no desire to be inside. The pool area was also lacking details. The location is however walking distance to the beach, and close to everything. Overall I would not be back at this property, just because I didn’t feel great being inside. Everything worked though, and checking /communication went well

Our stay at this location was very average. Place needed some cleaning in the bathrooms especially the one in the garage. Only one bedroom had a dresser. The location is better suited for college clientele to have a party weekend. I will definitely stay here again. Thanks, Rey G

perfect space and location

My family and I enjoyed the stay very much. We had a small group of close friends and family stay and join us and size of house had more then enough space for all. Pool was perfect and location is in perfect location, close to beach and to stores. Will definitely book again.
