If you enjoy the beach, snowmobiling, bicycling, kayaking and fishing; the Black River Landing is your retreat.

Our beautifully decorated and CLEAN home is perfect for a family vacation. The Black River Landing is nestled on a 1.8 acre property on the Black River. Opposite the Landing and across the river is the Kal-Haven Trail and nature board walk. You will surely enjoy the tranquil view. Less than 2 miles away are the gorgeous beaches, Downtown and the picturesque South Haven Pier. Whether you want a day of fun in the sun or a relaxing sunset, the beaches are just minutes away.

For the snowmobiler or bicyclist, 1/4 mile from the Landing is the Kal-Haven Trailhead.

Boats, jet skis, kayaks, bikes and scooters are available nearby for rent. Kayaks and canoes are welcome and can be beached on site. We do not have a dock at this time for boats and jet skis.

While at the Landing, the family can go fishing, enjoy a game of ping pong, badminton, or cornhole. We have many outdoor games for the kids and a swing set. If it’s raining outside, NO WORRIES, we have two 50 inch TVs to kick back and enjoy a movie, and yes, we have WIFI for your computers.

Pull up a seat on either the upper or lower deck, grab a drink, relax and enjoy! At night, gather up the S'more’s and hang out at the fire pit! We have plenty of firewood for you to use.

The Landing has 3 bedrooms, 4 queen size beds, and two full bathrooms. The laundry room has a washer and dryer, iron, and ironing board. Your comfort and convenience are important to us.

Our kitchen is supplied with a complete set of cookware and bakeware, dinnerware, coffee pots, stove/oven, refrigerator, and microwave, as well as linens. We installed a reverse osmosis system for drinking water. We provide coffee pods, tea bags and sugar.
Outside on the upper deck is a gas grill for those who enjoy barbequing and plenty of seating for family cookouts.

The lower deck is a perfect place to escape the sun and enjoy the shade. It is furnished with comfortable pieces; perfect for an afternoon siesta.

To accommodate the little ones, we have a collapsible crib with sheets and blankets, a high chair, portable playpen, baby bath, and child-proof dinnerware.

We will provide 1 set of bedlinens and 2 pillowcases for each bed. Each guest will be supplied with 2 sets of bath towels. Also, coffee, tea and sugar for your first-morning

The charming South Haven downtown district is less than 3 minutes away for your dining and shopping pleasure.

Walmart, Meijer, and many restaurants are conveniently nearby. Plus, the local favorite, Sherman Dairy Ice Cream Bar, is just minutes away.

The house was absolutely perfect for our group of 3 adult couples. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. We had no issues. The home is located on the Black River providing a peaceful setting. It is a short drive to the beach, downtown shopping and grocery stores. Robin was pleasant and easy to communicate with. We would absolutely stay at this property again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Landing. The owners were great with their communications and the property manager was right on top of it when we had a backed up tub drain. The house is clean and well appointed. The lower patio a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the ducks on the river. Our grandkids had so much fun playing ping pong, not to mention all the backyard games. The north beaches are maybe a 5 minute drive away. My husband and I walked to the beach a couple of evenings to enjoy the sunsets.

Very satisfied with everything. Owners have their act together. This ranch is stocked, comfortable and functional. The only heads up I would pass along are highway noise incase you are expecting total quiet and the portable crib may not be what you expect, so clarify that with owner as I didn't see a mattress for what was there. There is a gate on the deck to block the flight of stairs. Again, very happy with this rental!

This house is located on the Black River and has access to the River as well as a large back yard. The owners provide guests with plenty of outside and inside games, a fire pit and access to the river is great for fishing and kayaking/boating. The road is a deadend street off of a busy road. Use your GPS and driving directions. The house sits off of a lane that can be difficult to see from the road. It's a very private location. The owners communicated really well. The photos online don't do the space justice. The interior is clean and nicely kept and the exterior provided space to do many things. We had friends from Europe visit us and fished and kayaked for several days. They enjoyed their time as our guests before going back to their place for the evening. All in all, I highly recommend staying at this VRBO location. The ONLY downside is that beach access is a short drive and the downtown is a short drive; parking is limited in the community.

Wonderful property for our family reunion in South Haven! We really enjoyed the super clean home, which was relaxing with views of the river…and ping pong! My son and brother even brought a kayak and launched from the backyard into the river. Location was really convenient to supermarkets, downtown and beaches — each a few minutes drive. The kitchen was spacious, and one improvement would have been better knives and a pasta strainer. We would definitely consider staying here again.

This property was great for our stay in South Haven. It's a short drive to downtown-maybe 5-7 minutes. The house was clean; had all the supplies we needed, and was so peaceful watching the ducks, geese, squirrels, and I think a muskrat or mink. Nice furnishings throughout; comfortable beds and furniture; very nice firepit with firewood; and great deck and porch underneath the deck. The owners were quick to respond to any questions. We would stay here again.

Family Vacation in the Black River

My Husband, two adult Children and Spouses had a Wonderful time at the Black River Landing! The house was perfect for us and we had everything that we could possibly need! The guys caught some Catfish, Bass, and a Blue Gill! We enjoyed roasting Hot Dogs, Marshmallows and making Smores! We went shopping in South Haven, ate at Clementines twice, as the food was sooooo good, and enjoyed going to the Farmer's Market in town. Great location!! Sincerely, Carolyn Aymer

Don’t miss out on this one!

Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful place with us Dave and Robin! This was one of the nicest places that we have been to. Shout out to the cleaning crew…this place was so clean! The location was good as well….just a couple miles from town. The fire pit and the yard games that were provided were awesome! The view of the river was nice. Great family house

Everything about this property was absolutely terrific! My husband and I rented this for our kids and us for vacation. There were 6 adults and 3 children from 3 1/2 yr - to 6 /12 yrs old. Lots of toys and games both inside and outside on bottom patio to keep kids entertained. We really enjoyed the downstairs patio.. kids could swing or play yard games in the fenced in yard and we could relax. House was so nicely decorated and clean *****( I give 5 stars and I have had my own cleaning service for 30+ years) All the appliances were clean inside and out and the frig was super cold! Also want to give a shout out to our hosts.. very responsive and super nice! Everything felt like home♥️

FANTASTIC!!

This is by far the nicest house I’ve rented in South Haven. The house was spacious, spotlessly clean, beautiful decor, comfortable living and dining areas and so much comfortable outdoor space! Views are beautiful and peaceful, access to the river for kayaking, great fire pit area, lots of games and recreation to entertain everyone when we weren’t at the beach or in town. Everything we needed was provided…small things like salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, paper towels, plenty of toilet paper are so nice to have already there. Laundry room with detergent and spot remover. Comfortable beds, soft sheets, extra blankets, plenty of soft, clean towels. 2 min drive to beach or town and 1 min drive to Meijer. I cannot say enough nice things about this house. We LOVED our stay, there were 8 of us and we had plenty of space! We didn’t want to leave! We will definitely stay here again!

Great Girls Weekend

We had a girls getaway with 6 ladies and a newborn and it was our first time in South Haven. We had a phenomenal stay! The spacious house allowed us to laugh and chat in various areas. We played games in the living room, hung out at the kitchen table while cooking a meal as a group, and enjoyed the top and bottom decks. The beds were very comfortable and everyone loved having such a beautiful home for our self care weekend. A friend brought her baby at the last minute, and she was so grateful that the house came with a pack and play, and other thoughtful touches for infants. We definitely will be back and want to stay longer!

GREAT Vacation House!

My family and I absolutely loved staying in this house, the backyard was perfect for the kids, the house was very clean and we loved all of the extra spaces to relax and hang out after a fun-filled day out. It was our favorite house we have ever stayed out. Our only improvements would be that there was no broom and we ran out of toilet paper. Thanks so much, we really enjoyed every minute at this house!
