2. Cable car to top of Mount Isabel de Torres in Puerto Plata. Great views from the top.

3. Fun City Action Park. Go-Kart tracks of varying difficulty.

4. Playa Dorada Golf Course. 18 holes

EXCURSIONS: Local tour operators offer a wide variety of excursions, including whale watching, deep sea fishing, white water rafting, mountain biking, and a a jeep safari that includes a 28 level waterfall where you can climb up the last 8 cascades.

AIRPORTS: The closest is Puerto Plata (POP) but Santiago (STI) is an option. Taxis can be arranged in advance for both.

Huge disappointment

After attempting to contact host for three weeks, we were told our stay was canceled less than 18 hours prior to our departure from home. There was no stay, no satisfactory explanation, except there was a “natural disaster “ which was not true. My recommendation is to be very cautious with this particular host.

Location!

We had a fantastic stay at el Neptuno. The Location is supreme, right by the ocean with a 2 minute walk to playa Sosua, the best beach ever! Check in was a breeze, Mery is great deal with. Our condo had a very comfortable bed and sofa with two large tvs with lots of channels. Had no problem with hot water.. it’s all keyless entry which I loved. The maid was always punctual and did a great job and security was fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

Good location for the area

The property is nice,secure. It has a nice pool area. Information on using the deadbolt lock, and using a timer for the hot water heater would've helped, but otherwise it was a good stay. I would definitely stay again.

Absolute Gem.

This is my second time staying at El Neptuno. everything is exactly as described. it felt wonderful coming from outside into the condo, AC had the place feeling perfect. its in a perfect location. close to everywhere, beach is walking distance, bars restaurants and nightlife, My favorite place is Flip Flop sports bar... The host of El Neptuno, Mery, was so helpful before and after, . I recommend El Neptuno to anyone looking to relax and have a great time,, you can't go wrong. I will definitely be back. Mery thank you for being a great host, you made my vacation that much better.

POOR COMMUNICATION

THE CONDO WAS AS ADVERTISED; IT HAD ALL ONE COULD NEED INCLUDING EXCELLENT, COMFORTABLE BEDS. THE PROPERTY HAD A POOL WHICH WAS GREAT AS WELL, AND THE CONDO IS NEAR SHOPPING AND MOSTLY OUT OF THE WAY OF THE TOWN NOISE. THE BIG DOWNSIDE WAS THAT I WAS NOT GIVEN THE CORRECT/FULL ADDRESS BY VRBO OR THE OWNER, AND SPENT HOURS WITH SUITCASE IN HAND LOOKING FOR THE PROPERTY- NOT SO GREAT FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME WHO HAS A HEART CONDITION. OWNER NEVER GOT BACK TO ME FOR MY PRE TRIP REQUEST FOR A FULL ADDRESS.

Overall, great stay. Stayed for 4 nights. Pictures were accurate. Can see the ocean through a few openings in the trees. Condo was clean, they include extra towels and sheets in closet if you need replacement. Bedrooms were nice, A/C was great. TVs in living room and master bedroom, plenty of channels. Everyone was friendly. 24/7 security. Can have guests anytime. Only negative was kitchen can use some updating... old stove, some damaged counter tiles (so 4 rating instead of 5). Would stay again!

Quand on est arrivé la cuisine n'était pas propre la vaisselle était sale. Le poêle était crotté. Après un bon ménage de la cuisine on a passé un excellent séjour. Le reste de l'appartement était propre.
