Family cabin with fireplace and hand-painted art

We built this family cabin out of a genuine love for the area. The walls and doors are covered with hand-painted pictures—a personal touch you won’t find in many other places. The fireplace is the heart of the cabin, and the annex, equipped with a fridge and coffee maker, can be used year-round.



The cabin can accommodate two to four people of all ages. We've got a toy box, art supplies and books ready for the little ones. The annex has two seats by the window overlooking the cabin area. The bathroom has running water from a spring and a toilet—the shower stall's older, so please be careful with the doors.



The fire pit's the cabin's gathering place. Here, you'll find a grill grate, a coffee pot and a soup pot ready for use. In the yard, you'll find a stone corner with lights and decorations, a natural area with blueberry bushes and snowbells, and in winter, you can go sledding right outside the living room window. We've hung a shovel outside for shovelling snow.



In the immediate vicinity of the cabin, there are trails leading to a local peak—about a 30-minute walk away. Hiking trails lead to Bjødalskampen (1,158 metres above sea level) and Fiskebufjellet (1,109 metres above sea level), both of which have groomed trails in the winter. The ski trail runs right below the cabin, and you can book snow grooming via the Hyttetjenester app—I'll take care of that. There are no cafés or pubs nearby.
