'Delightfully friendly and kind hosts. Very clean place. Simple rooms, with everything you need, and shared washrooms. Nice breakfast. The shuttle to the lift is nice (although also easily walkeable in 10-15 minutes). The onsen bath downstairs is a definite bonus.'

'Superb location in a gem of a village'

'We enjoyed the hot spring bath in our unit.'

'A beautiful full-service experience that exceeded our expectations. The included dinners and breakfasts not only tasted good, but also taught us about Japanese culture and customs. Thank you to all staff for providing the experience.'

'I just loved loved loved loved loved staying here — the owners are wonderful. Extremely hospitable and helpful. It has a local Japanese vibe that you don’t get in some places The rooms were super comfortable and well heated, breakfast was yummy. Thank you for the warm hospitality '

'We have really enjoyed our stay in this ryokan. Staff were super helpful and considerate. We arrived late at night. There was someone waiting there to greet us, then showed us their onsen which was a heavenly experience after a long day. The bedroom is spacious and sealed with separate air conditioning, perfect for the hot July weather. There are extra bedding and pillows in the closet. There were balcony furnitures for relaxation. The whole place is calm and gracious… The next morning we were...

'Friendly people. Too bad extra charges were charged for using the Onsen. The onsen was nice though. Traditional stay, that was still comfortable. Bus stop right at the hotel.'

'While this is an older hotel, it is clean, things are in working order, and rather charming and unique. For example, I had a large room with a small patio that offered a beautiful view of the city. It’s in a quaint quiet town with gorgeous views of the mountains surrounding the town. I appreciated the thoughtful touch of hot green tea. The thermos amazingly kept the water hot even till the next morning. Because I went during « low » season in May, I was able to enjoy the onsen to myself ! The...

'The on site Onsen natural baths, being able to choose either a private Onsen or alternative public baths, in the hotel. The private baths meant we could have the bath space to ourselves and wear a cosi! We were provided lovely fresh linen traditional robes, towels and footwear, fantastic traditional experience staying in this traditional Japanese accommodation, family run, with everyone being super helpful and friendly. Free coffee machine in reception. Why stay in a concrete tower block when...
