John Brown Cottage is situated in the heart of beautiful Malhamdale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Originally built as a Methodist chapel in the 1830’s, the building was later converted into 2 cottages by the local shoemaker, John Brown. The recently renovated property features stunning long distance views from each of its 3 floors.

The cottage is located right by the Pennine Way, and there are many lovely walks available from the doorstep. There is an award-winning farm shop in the village, which is within easy reach of the historic market towns of Settle and Skipton, with their pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Harrogate and Leeds are within an hour’s drive. The North York Moors National Park and the Lake District are also nearby.

The top floor features one bedroom with king size bed, one double room and the main bathroom with bath and shower. The ground floor has a twin room with en-suite bathroom. There is also a sitting room with TV and wood-burning stove, a dining room and a separate kitchen with breakfast bar and new appliances, including fridge freezer, dual oven/microwave, induction hob and dishwasher. There is a separate utility/boot room with washing machine.

There is a front garden and large back garden with seating and BBQ and views over the fields.
There is parking on the private driveway for up to 2 cars plus limited on-street parking.
