Our beach villa on the beautiful Blue Bay Golf & Beach Resort is a spacious and completely detached single storey villa. It offers space for 6 people and has a beautiful covered veranda with a beautiful view over the palm trees, the tropical garden and the flamingo lake. With the beautiful white sandy beach within walking distance, this place offers everything to guarantee a great relaxing holiday. Our villa is one of the few detached villas on Blue Bay, so without upstairs or downstairs neighbors.
Our villa:
- is spacious (155 m2 area), for a maximum of 6 guests, for example 3 bedrooms
- is very close to the pool. Beach, restaurants, and amenities are all within walking distance.
- Has a nice view over the tropical garden but is at the same time sheltered so offers sufficient privacy
- is on the ground floor, so no neighbors above or below and no stairs that can be dangerous for children. Suitable for guests with mobility problems.
- recently completely refurbished, everything neat and clean, also suitable for (small) children. Cot, high chair, beach and swimming toys, books and games are all available.
- has its own Internet / WiFi connection and TV with AppleTV, free to use. Internet has been upgraded to an extra fast fiber optic connection.
- Both 220v and 110v connections are available. There are also sufficient adapters.
The recently renovated kitchen is fully equipped with all conveniences (crockery, cookware, Nespresso, blender, oven, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer, sandwich maker, gourmet grill, etc.). The kitchen is of course also equipped with basic necessities such as pepper, salt, spices, oil, coffee and tea. The local supermarket is a five minute drive away. But we can also recommend a delicious lunch or dinner at the beach restaurant (with your feet in the sand). Bed linen, towels, kitchen linen and beach towels are provided and are included in the rent. There is also a washing machine and detergent in the villa, ready for use if desired.
Our guests get unlimited access to all Blue Bay facilities, including the beach with free sun beds, the beach bar, the restaurants, kids club, tennis court etc. The Blue Bay Resort is a secured resort with 24-hour security. It is child friendly and very safe. Blue Bay is being extended here and there, so there may sometimes be construction work at the resort, but not in the immediate vicinity of our villa.
Blue Bay Golf offers a professional 18-hole par 72 golf course with fantastic views of the Caribbean Sea and the most diverse tropical plants along the fairway. You even have to cross the sea between the exit site and the green of hole 5! Our villa is located in the middle of a beautiful and well-kept tropical garden. This means that animals such as lizards, insects and tropical birds also occur around the villa. Blue Bay provides a stray cat program. These cats are supplied with food and receive medical care. In turn, they provide pest control, so guests should not feed the cats. In case of allergies, the proximity of nearby cats is something to be reckoned with.
Blue Bay is a great place for snorkeling and diving. Blue Bay Dive offers two unique dive sites, the 'Wall' and the 'Garden'. At the PADI certified diving school you can follow a course or rent your equipment. From the beach you can walk straight into the Caribbean Sea and swim through the bay to the coral reef. But snorkeling is also absolutely beautiful at Blue Bay. Because of the calm sea the view is excellent and even inside the bay you can see beautiful underwater life. For children we have a set of snorkels, masks and fins in the villa. If you want tips on great diving locations, feel free to ask us, we do know a few.
We do not live permanently on the island, but our host and wife live close by and know the island like the back of their hand. We ensure that we are always ready for anything, and of course we take the time to explain the villa, the resort and the island. The picturesque Willemstad is only a 15-minute drive away, the airport is also 15 minutes away. We recommend renting a car so that you are flexible during your vacation.
It is important to use water and energy on the island consciously and economically. That is why we pay the water and electricity costs separately with the guests. We do this based on the actual meter readings and the official rates as published by the utility company.
