'We stayed at a one bedroom apartment facing east. This unit was on the 23rd floor and though it was high from the ground the noise of the city was loud. For a moment I felt I was in New York as the near by Atahualpa Stadium was testing the sound for a local concert. 'We really loved staying here. Rolando and his family were super welcoming and at the same time gave privacy in the apartment. We did a lot of cooking in the kitchen and loved being a bit away from the town but still close enough where it was a 30 min. walk or 5 min. drive. We had a rental car for this trip but noticed taxis were also available. The property is also within 20 min. of a National Park for good hiking. 'Spacious, comfortable place to stay right by the lake. Safe neighborhood, secure parking, and the bilingual host treats you like family. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Luis and his wonderful family are very knowledgeable about the area and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Highly recommend!'
