Chianti Estate - Il Cipresso

In the heart of the Chianti Classico region, this hillside estate offers a tranquil, classic Tuscan experience. Il Cipresso is a large house, surrounded by grass, simple gardens and olive groves. On the edge of a small 17th century village centered around a family villa, all the farmhouses have been restored. This house was renovated and furnished with special care to preserve the wood beamed ceilings and tile floors. The views are outstanding, particularly the view of Siena on its hill in the distance and the panoramic vista of rolling hills with vineyards and olive groves. Il Cipresso has an expansive terrace, suitably furnished for al fresco dining. The large swimming pool is set on a lower grassy terrace, surrounded by olive groves. For larger groups, note that four other houses and one apartment are available on the same estate. Check them out! They\'re called Chianti Estate-Cipressino, Chianti Estate-Torrino, Chianti Estate-Vineyard Villa, Chianti Estate-Scuola Piccola and Chianti Estate-Podere.Il Cipresso is located only 8 kms from Siena and 60 km from Florence. Tennis, horseback riding and mountain bike rentals are just a stroll away, and wine and olive oil produced on the premises can be purchased by guests. There is also a little soccer field down in the garden near the pool. The owner, who speaks English, lives nearby. Please note that rentals are from Friday to Friday.Il Cipresso has an open living/dining and kitchen area with double-height cassetone ceilings and a large hearth. Dining is at a large, round, built-in table or outdoors on the terrace. The tiled kitchen is equipped with a 6-burner gas stove, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, double sinks, and doors opening to the garden. Downstairs, the bedrooms are arranged as: a queen with ensuite bath (tub and hand-held shower), a 2-twin room with ensuite bath with shower, and a studio with trundle bed, kitchenette and bathroom with shower. Upstairs has 2 queen bedrooms (one of them open to the living room below), a small bedroom with trundle bed, one full bathroom with tub and shower, and a shared half bathroom.
